Now this is a little off topic, it's not NECESSARILY Dragon Age related, but it can be if it applies to a death in the Dragon Age franchise.

So, in all cinematic works there are characters that we become rather fond of and attached to. Sometimes, certain events dictate that character dies, and it really undescribable what we feel during that moment.

I don't know about some of you, maybe you never feel anything towards fictional characters, but I know some have. Especially considering the attachment some of you on the BSN forums form with Dragon Age/Mass Effect characters lol.

Has a ficitional character death, across all cinematic/entertainment, ever just stun you? To the point of being petrified or being in tears?

DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO SPOILER TAGS SO YEAH SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD AND CONKER'S BAD FUR DAY BELOW

The Walking Dead (comic)

I'll admit, in The Walking Dead comic series when Glenn dies, that really f**ked me up. The context of the situation, the attachment I felt towards his character, and the actual gruesome killing of him, it just really knocked the f**king wind out of me. Been two years since that scene and I'm still not over it! I don't think I'll ever be. Moments like that, you don't just forget those. Every time it pops back into my head, it just stuns me all over again. It's incredible the effect/manipulation a fictional story can have on you.

Conker's Bad Fur Day

Also, from long ago, Conker's Bad Fur Day. In the end when Conker's girlfriend, Cherry dies, that really upset me. Not necessarily because I liked her character a lot, but because of how Conker felt. Despite the entire journey and the persona of his character, the entire game he's really just trying to get home to see her, and she dies quite brutally before his eyes. In the end game sequence, when he becomes King, he doesn't even care that he's now the most powerful animal in this "exotic" kingdom, because he doesn't feel the will to keep going considering he's lost what's most important to him. Those final lines of "you just don't realize what you have til it's gone, all gone." really stunned me. A feeling I did not seem coming, considering the nature of the game.

Mass Effect 3 (synthesis ending)

Really not much to say. Terrible ending. However I still get really sad whenever I see the final sequence of Shepard's organic code being broken down and absorbed. Watching him/her deteriorate, it gives me some serious feels. Looks like he/she is in such pain too.

Mordin Solus is probably the most powerful one.  Legion's is right up there too.

I agree with Magister Caedus' regarding The Walking Dead:

Spoiler

EDIT: Oh how did I forget.... Dupre!

Agree on that aswell.

I love roleplaying villains, but even I had problems shooting Mordin in the back in ME:3 :( Despite the love for roleplaying evil characters (to explore the human condition) killing Mordin went so much against everything I stand for IRL that I almost couldnt bear to stay in character.

It's such a well crafted scene though.  The gun that Shepard used, tossing it away and so on.  Amazing.  I could never do it myself :P

I could only do it with Padok Wiks, after Mordin died on the Suicide Mission. And even that was pretty hard, Padok Wiks was also a cool character and just shooting him in the back...

I didn't have Wiks, but my friend did and said it was still pretty awesome.  I just watched the video and it still strikes a chord:

"For... eternity... ^_^ "

I *really* love the satisfaction on his face.  He's about to die, but I just get the feeling that he could think of no better way to go than to give his life doing what he did..."  Goosebumps territory! :)
