I'd imagine my first two will be Miranda and Jacob, seeing how they're almost certainly the only two you can use at the beginning of the game...

In my first playthrough, I'm going to use them all, just to get to know them and decide who I like best. Then in the other runs I will put together permanent duos, depending on what my own class is, love interests, and ethics alignment.

Aside from the obvious Jacob and Miranda I'm going after Mordin ASAP. He's epic. And seeing as Garrus is there too makes sense to me to go after him second

I would say this would depend on the order you meet your squad mates. depends on the story man, it will decide who your first 2 squadmates are

Choosing my squad-members is a lot more difficult than it was ME1. It was a no-brainer for me to choose Wrex with Garrus or Wrex with Tali. For ME2... a lot more difficult. Tali & Miranda spring to mind, along with Tali & Garrus. Miranda & Garrus? Garrus & Legion? Legion & Garrus?

This game begs to be played repeatedly.

Samara and Tali for the balance team setup (playing soldier), but'll probably try an all soldier team for steamrolling with Zaeed and Grunt. If Zaeed is a soldier that is.

miranda and grunt. Hot biotic + any krogan is epic win. Those 2 are the liara and wrex of this game.

You guys have to keep in mind that there are two levels of dossiers, and you can't move on to the second set until you do the first one. So you'll have to wait until midway through the game to pick up Thane, Samara, Tali and...

So, I'm going with Garrus and Mordin first. Both are on Omega. Of course, I'll have the DLC too, so depending on where he is I might pick up Zaeed first because he's also on Omega..
