This was the one I was going to post too!  Pretty great gun.  Otherwise I'd say maybe the Laptop gun from Perfect Dark for it's fun tactical options.

MSMC with Quickdraw and Extended Mag, paired with an MLG-approved Scuf controller so I can do some sick jumpshots/dropshots on Marauders while clutching a wave.

Quick scope, fast (and cool) reload, accurate 3 round bursts. A real head-poppin' machine. I love taking down Brutes with it.

 

It would be good against ME3 Brutes too I bet.

Would need an AP modification for this game though.

Other possibilities include ME2 Mattock, Doom Chaingun. Also another vote for Cranial Bore. Quite liked the Hand Cannon from Bioshock Infinite as well.

Two-step Goodbye from Fallout New Vegas would make a great gear equip similar to the batarian fist, and instead of a little explosion all enemies punched should go out a-bomb style. If there was melee like that in the game I'd actually be willing to play melee kits.

Oh, you mean the Vindicator from ME2?  It's not enough that they had to nerf its damage into the ground, they also gave it so much recoil that it's not really usable without stability enhancements.

Come to think of it I wouldn't mind a laptop gun style weapon in ME4 (not counting drones/turrets) - something you can throw/deploy, switch to another weapon, but go and pick the former weapon up at any time. Make for interesting gameplay strategies.

Yeah I loved the ME2 Vindicator, even after I had the Mattock DLC. (Which was also 'nerfed' for ME3.)

 

I use the Vindicator in ME3 SP on 'caster' classes for it's light weight
