Cassandra's movie was good but the origins dragon battle one trumps it . please give us one for this game aswell

Given the visual fidelity of the game this time around, I'm hesitant to say we even need one for Inquisition.
Would it be neat? Sure. But I'm happy with the in-engine trailers we've been getting.

I have to agree with the sentiment to no longer wanting CGI trailers. Graphics have come so far that CGI is just no longer needed and I think it is just a waste of resources now.

I don't think it needs one and given how games have progressed and people think now a days better to show off in-game footage.
Think CGIs are becoming unneeded thankfully and those resouces can be used elsewhere. ![]()
Will be a good day when they are gone for good.

I believe the team have said before that their preference is for in-engine trailers for DA:I, rather than a CGI one.

i might be completely wrong here but i seem to recall that someone from Bioware (maybe Laidlaw) already said they would not do CGI trailer for DAI

No thanks, especially not in an age where in-engine cinematics can be as amazing as they are real.
I want CGI trailers to be gone for good.
noooo they are awesome .
granted what we have seen is great and I'd love more actual game footage but at the same time I don't want more cos then it gets to the point of seeing to much .
a CGI trailer is a glorified look at something without spoiling more .

In other words: fake.

I don't have anything against a good CGI trailer, but the devs have said that there's no reason for one since the game looks so good as is.
I'm good with that.

I've loved the CGIs. Graphic fidelity for the in-game engine is indeed at a higher level than any before, yet even the CGI from Origins still looks better by a wide margin. The "Sacred Ashes" trailer is more exciting, for me, than any trailer I've seen for DAI.
Of course, I feel there is room for both, and they both have different purposes. The game engine trailers are better for showing off what you can expect from the game, which is great. For me the CGI shows off the artistic flair of game's direction and story better.

that's exactly what I wanted to get across but clearly didn't since all I got was negativity . the first thing I every saw was a cgi trailer for origins and I was hooked. elder scrolls online's cgi trailer was amazing to watch aswell . they are an extra gem to marvel at .
they ain't doing any and that's cool I'll just rewatch the E3 demo again

Nope, not gonna happen. Frostbite 3 is amazing enough.

Given the cost of CGI work on that scale I am not surprised the game developers would rather go in-game instead of CGI. If they don't have to spend the money the more money they can apply to game development.

I enjoy good CGI trailers, but their engine is so good, what's the point?
I will say that the ones for The Old Republic are like a movie in and of themselves (and a really amazing one).

I don't know if there is an official "no" or not but I wouldn't be surprised if there was no prerendered trailer. From what I understand they are actually quite expensive and the base game looks pretty darn good on its own IMO.

I think you made your point well. People are just disagreeing with you. No right or wrong here, just personal preferences. Different strokes... folks... all that jazz.

Since the characters tend to look completely different (sometimes strangely so) it doesn't hold much appeal for me.

The DA2 trailer ended up being pretty jarring, too, since it set up situations and battles that never occurred in the actual game. Hawke had some sort of staff-sword thing?
At least if the trailers are in-engine for DA:I, we know that the game can actually do what's being shown on the screen.

DAO's trailer did that too (Darkspawn during Urn of Sacred Ashes) anyone?
With the graphics looking as good as they do (And not something people need to overlook to get into the game), they really don't need a CGI trailer for extra hype.

I'd rather have an in-game trailer; the game looks good, why bother with a pointless overpriced CGI trailer if the game itself is fine?

I'd prefer trailers that'll actually show me something representative of the actual product instead of something that does not -- It's about as relevant as someone belating info on the next Hobbit film through the use of finger puppets.

I don't know about you, but I'd watch the hell out of a finger puppet trailer.
