I really don't see how this is anything to worry about. It is just one more month for the sake of polishing the game, no reason to blow things out of proportion here.
Delayed until November 18?

Because I feel cheated out of the 60-70 dollars I paid to pre-order the game.
Because you're totally not getting the game right? It invalidated your preorder that you now have to wait a month longer

Yes, this is the new official release date for Dragon Age: Inquisition.
It is understandable, but do we get to find out what the extra month would be used for? Bugs?

I'm actually cool with this. Now I can get more than enough of my fill of AC: Unity, Destiny, and Shadow of Mordor. With the old release date at least one of those games was getting pushed back quite a bit.

While I agree a few are over reacting to it, especially the person you're replying to, but being disappointed is completely normal.
Like it feels like (someone mentioned this earlier) you promised your kid a toy on his birthday but then went "Nope, gotta wait till christmas" .
It's very human and you shouldn't be judgmental about it.
Disappointment is not the issue here. That I perfectly understand.
However the assumptions that the game will get worse or that Bioware can't do this because I'm a loyal customer borders on the inane.
To counter the example of a toy to a kid, Bioware ain't your parents. They're a business. They aim to make a product that will sell.
The sooner people get this, the faster you'll avoid disappointment.

People are a bit mad. That's normal because of that all hype for October 7th they've made.

I don't know the state of the game, but I believe it is justified to be cautious when confronted with delays in light of games like Watch_Dogs where the game did indeed come out worse after it's delays.
I'm not saying I believe it will be better if released in October. I'm saying things happen, and I hope Bioware does not follow in Ubisoft's footsteps...
Besides, I'm going to get it either way just because I have an almost insatiable need to see how the story continues :3
Another mindset I don't understand. Are you really implying that Watch Dogs would have been better without the delay? That the game was ready to ship, and they decide to take a couple extra months to break it?

You're still getting the game, its not like the 60 dollars you paid just evaporated as soon as the delay was put in place. I understand being a little disappointed but saying its insulting to the fans for stretching out the release date (which only ensures that it will be of better quality) is a bit much. Thats like a car sales men saying give me another week and ill polish the entire car and add some more features, free of charge

Can anyone from Bioware comment that November 18th is gonna be the official "no really" release date of DA:I? I put vacation hours into the days surrounding October 7th
Unfortunately, I can't confirm that it's the ultra ultimate definite no-take-backsies release date, although I'd be ridiculously surprised if it slipped again. Take that for what it's worth.
Some of us may have our holidays impacted too, if it's any consolation.
As for the thread in general, I admit I am a bit confused. I realize it may not be the same people saying the previous complaints, but with all the assertions that EA (and by extension BioWare) isn't concerned about quality and more concerned about shipping a game regardless of what state it's in, but the messages I'm getting here is the opposite. I can understand reticence (hmm, they're delaying the game... obviously they aren't happy with where it's currently at), but at the same time... if we didn't think the game would be high enough quality for October 7th, should we still release it then anyways because people really want it and don't like waiting?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but some seem to be thinking that us spending the extra month will actually make the game worse than if we were to just release in October? Or is it "this delay makes me think the game is just in a bad state" simply because a delay means it's not ready when we would have liked?

I'm sorry.
But what? Seriously?
Cheated?
Did Bioware sell your pre-order when they delayed the game? Did you have a bet with someone that if DA:I didn't release on Oct, you will lose your pre-order?
Seriously, you're overreacting.

Annoying and somewhat disappointing, but by no means the end of the world of angered.
I suppose you have to accept what you are dealt, especially if you get something better and more refined in the end.

BioWare isn't your parents or your grandparents.
If I reacted that way over a toy, my grandma would have whooped my ass.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
I mentioned it on Twitter, but I'll mention it again here.
A month of pre-ship bugfixing/polish time is equivalent to a year/year and a half or more after ship.
It sucks to have to wait, I know. I'd love to have a normal weekend again, and this means it'll be an extra month before that happens, but I'd rather make sure that this game is the best game we can possibly deliver.

Better a month of polish than months of moaning about bugs any day. Although it does mean enduring hours/days/weeks/months of ridiculous complaints in the meantime, dammit.

I think some people are automatically assuming that delay = better quality, which is not entirely true. As others have mentioned Watch Dogs is a good example of this. In addition, let us not forget the messes that were Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem. Do I think that DA:I will be this type of bad quality and that the delay won't make the game better? Absolutely not; however, if there is another delay that pushes the game back I will have to cancel my preorder and await player reviews just as a precaution. I do not foresee this happening though and have a strong belief that the game will be better. Now let us just hope that Bioware has some extra marketing stuff for us to make the extended timeframe go more quickly.
