Another mindset I don't understand. Are you really implying that Watch Dogs would have been better without the delay? That the game was ready to ship, and they decide to take a couple extra months to break it?

I am implying that there was a time that the game looked gorgeous and stood up to the hype, then there was a delay, and the quality downgraded. That is all.

I am not assuming the same will happen to this game, I do not intend to insult Bioware. I am simply being cautious.

As much as I am disappointed by this, I am super busy the first 2-3 weeks of the month...every month, which means I cannot take any time off of work...whereas, this way I might actually just take the 18th off and play until my eyeballs bleed :D

If your product is not ready for the consumer then it should of course be delayed. I'm not upset about that at all.

But if you can't meet a specific deadline that you announced to the world--stop announcing specific deadlines. Other successful companies do this pretty well. At this point I don't have any confidence that November 18th actually means November 18th.

Thanks, be back in November.

We'll totally miss you, you brightened up these forums.

Who seriously takes vacation time over 70 days in advance? What the hell, people?

People who hang out on a game forum a year before it's released.

5 more weeks is really nothing in the grand scheme of things, especially if it makes a better game in the end.    I wish more developers would make the effort to delay launches to finish debugging and polishing their games.

Agree, comparing this delay to the other games I'd say we got a good deal. TW3 was delayed by a whole year or so.

Hopefully this will give them more time to work on those face models...

But oh well, it's not like I was going to buy it on release anyway.

Or is it "this delay makes me think the game is just in a bad state" simply because a delay means it's not ready when we would have liked?

There is an element of that for me, but I'm still fairly optimistic, everything I've seen looks great conceptually, obviously can't speak to execution. I have total faith that you guys didn't want this date to slip any more than we fans did, so if the game needs another month, then it needs another month.

From a personal perspective, I'm damned frustrated. Vacation schedule at work until may 30th was locked down on monday, so chances are I now not only can't take time off to play, I'm also stuck with a week off in boring october.

I'll get over it, but right now I'm sporting full frowny face.

Well, on the plus side - it does push it out of Broketober. ;)

I have no problem with this delay, hope it ends up being a better game for it.

I know I guessed sometime in mid November, I don't think it was the 18th though. I got yelled at because apparently November belongs to Call of Duty only.

I guessed Black Friday sale but I wasn't aware of the "Tuesday" ship days.

So I'm clear, you think that Watch Dogs would have been a better game than what people received, if it was released earlier than when it came out?

I think it's much simpler then that. People are bummed that the game is delayed, many were really looking forward to October.

This is then compounded by other stories of recent games being delayed and the eventual result turned out to be pretty bad anyway.

Some people don't like bad news, regardless of the reason for it.

Great, so now I'll have to resort to Arkham Knight, Sunset Overdrive, TESO, and Destiny to entertained me for an extra month.

Malarkey!

Newsflash, Arkham Knight is not coming out in 2014.

And i kinda doubt TESO is getting a 2014 release (assuming you mean the console version).

Very true!  Tons of bills dropping in October, my bank account appreciates this delay :P

I'll just state again, I do not know. The fact of the matter is that it was not up to the standards that it was advertised as prior to the delay.

I know this is probably for the best but ughhhh I hate waiting longer for it.

October was far enough. I do think this is for the best though. Whatever makes the game better.

Maybe a little perspective will help. Somewhere right now, at this very instant if statistics are anything to go off of, someone is being eaten alive by Siafu ants in Africa. Now that's a ruined day.

I'm very disappointed. Delaying the game once again is NOT COOL Bioware.

Can we at least get Character Creator or a Demo then?

I'm disappointed, but at least I'll have Destiny and Diablo 3: UEE to tide me over.
