Can we at least get Character Creator or a Demo then?
Taking that time out of their schedule would create another month delay.

I can understand the anticipation and having a set date to look forward towards. Better a delay, than limbo any day.
Personally, I don't mind the delay, as it gives me a little more time to get the funding together for the purchase of DAI.
I am implying that there was a time that the game looked gorgeous and stood up to the hype, then there was a delay, and the quality downgraded. That is all.
What you saw back when they announced the game was a target render, not really the game. Probably running on a very beefy PC. They weren't able to match those visuals with the final game. It had nothing to do with the delay, in fact, had they delayed it further to say 2015 and thrown last-gen support out the window (like it or not, consoles are usually the lead platforms), it probably would have looked as good as that. Just look at the new Assassins Creed.
Dude.. your Shoe horning in on our Emo moment.
If the reason the game was delayed was the same as Mass Effect 3's was (in order to shoehorn in multiplayer), I am not going to be pleased.
If people are okay with delays, does that mean they would be ok pushing the game back another year? I mean, another year of development means another year of polish, right, right? Seriously, DAI is going to be coming out towards the holidy rush period and unfortunately for it, I doubt it'll be one of the season's best sellers. I feel the game will suffer for it, but whatever. At this point, I'll just wait for a GOTY edition becausey hey, we've waited this long, what's another year of waiting right?
Pushing the game back an extra year is what got us four playable races and a multitude of other content we wouldn't have otherwise had. So yes, I am fine with delays if they mean the game is a superior product in the end. ![]()
It's fine... they're gonna make Cassandra bi right? That's totally what is happening. Everything is fine and nothing hurts. (I just need this to be true so badly let me lie to myself okay?) *Curls up in a ball*
Think us non x-boxers can at-least say we are more disappointed with the dlc thing, then them taking time to polish more things. ![]()

In all seriousness though, despite disappointment, an extra month isn't a big deal nor a bad thing.
its ok Liquid... you'll be ok XD *pat pat*
While this is surprising, my attitude is, whatever they need to do. It's not a huge delay anyway.
Well frak, there goes October. Guess I'm going to actually have to study for midterms now.
You think it's too late to change their Comic-Con signs or will they just magic marker over the release date?
Disappointment does mean you're justified in your sense of entitlement. I'm sorry but I'm directing my statements towards said people and not necessarily EVERYONE here if that wasn't clear already.
Second, my comments were directed at him and people like him. Nothing more. If you know that wasn't directed at the ENTIRE fanbase, then what's the issue here? Also Watch Dogs issue was due to over-promising and blatant lies... Where is the connection here to Dragon Age? The only correlation is the fact that both games got delayed. That's it.
Third, once again, you prove my point in that fans are overreacting in giving nonsensical analogies that have no application to the situation. It's an exaggeration based on disappointment (which is a fickle emotion).
Thirdly,
"Finally a business that simply aims to create a product to sell, is a failure business, the product has to also show how good the business is"
HENCE THE DELAY.
You talk about artist delivering what they preach.
Do you think fans will give more of a damn about the release date or the actual quality of the product in the end?
-I think it's worth noting that Bioware has received A LOT of backlash in the past 4 years, i.e: people aren't so confident about the company or the game, so when a scenario that's very similar to that of another game that turned out to not be so good, people are going to make such assumptions.
-The analogy is hardly overreacting, because it's a very similar scenario (again..), you're close to getting something you've been looking forward to, then all of a sudden you have to wait for yet even more time, you're going to get disappointed, really disappointed.
-A good business doesn't also hype something up that had a defined date, giving everyone the impression everything was fine and how the content is finished, etc, over the course of a few months then delays it because in the end they needed more time.
-In the end, of course the customer will care more about the quality, but there'll always be that voice in the back of their heads saying "but you waited too long"
I'm not trying to attack Bioware or anything, in fact I support their decision, this game needs to be perfect. But an act like this is bound to backlash badly at start, but people will get over it in under a week. So don't attack them for having very human feelings.
But, but... November is NaNoWriMo! sigh In all seriousness, I prefer a bug free game to one in October.
But... NaNo...
That's what I was figure but it can be difficult to filter it out.
Yeah, but if you really analyse most of the negative comments, there's not much basis to them other than inconvenience. My own count has a vast majority saying they trust your difficult decision to delay, and understand how difficult that choice was to make.
I dont see why we need to know WHY it happened, i just feel like Whining, BECAUSE it happened.
If the reason the game was delayed was the same as Mass Effect 3's was (in order to shoehorn in multiplayer), I am not going to be pleased.
Mass Effect 3's MP was being developed for approximately the same amount of time as the SP.
Also, on the topic if fear of Bad games... i Actually Liked Dragon Age 2, and didnt find any problems with the game what so ever... i also liked the Origional Mass effect 3 ending that left us guessing.
I am as disappointed as any that the game is delayed, however I will happily wait until November if it can avoid the trainwreck of bugs that so plagued Awakenings to the point where my game is still unplayable and will allow all console users to experience the game as the creators intended rather than one that has to rely on bugfixes from PC users that can only be experienced by PC players. Take your time to get it right Bioware because it is a big investment of time, money and emotions on the part of consumers. And thank you.
Dragon Age II came out in Q1 2011, we all seriously can't wait another measly month?
It's been long enough that at this point all I care about is that the game gets released eventually (it will) and that it's as good as it can be (which is what they're trying to do).
How about you just give me a copy of the game so I can help test it for bugs and glitches for you BioWare?
Could be worse, they could Half-Life 3 it..... have fun waiting on that one ![]()
