This is good, loved ME3.

Realistically, the game only went alpha in late May, and a game goes "gold" (no more changes) a few weeks before release so the devs were working with a very tight window and the new engine undoubtedly added extra unexpected complications (eye color changes, anyone).

 

I waited almost 7 years from the first concept art of DAO until I had the game in my hands, a few extra weeks for DAI is no big deal.  Quite frankly I'm surprised with the scope of the game and the new engine that we will have it this quickly.  I would much rather have a smooth and (relatively) bug free play through when we finally do get the game. 

 

And, for those complaining, remember the devs are working much more than 8 hour days (probably more like 10 to 16) and likely 6 to 7 days a week to finish our new toy.  For those who have never worked those kinds of hours it is draining and harmful to both your health and your family life.  It is the kind of schedule you are not surprised to see with western US firefighters and disaster relief workers.  These folks are doing it for a game.  Give these guys (and gals) a break.

I was really disappointed for about two minutes, but then I realized that my feelings were more based on where I'll be in November (neck deep in work and likely miserable about it) and very little to do with the game being delayed, which I think I'm pleased with.

I wish you hadn't said that.    Though I loved some of the writers, so that would be no big deal,  I am in the ME3  glad talented people do mods faction and hearing ME3 with DAI is well disconcerting.

I'm reminded of the first time I flew on a plane and was scared out of my skull. Just before lift off my mom turned to me and said "Remember, the pilot wants to live as much as you do."

 

So that's how I'm approaching this. The developers want to put out a good game and for it to be finished as much as we do.

Why do you think ME3 is in DAI ? As far as I know ME and DA have both a permanent core team, but a lot of devs switch between them based on the game Bioware is focusing on.

I know what the delay is for...it came to me as if in a dream:  that thing where your companions go in the saddlebags when you are on your mount...that's what they're making!  Yay for mounted party banter!!!  Yes, I dare any of you *who don't actually work for Bioware* to prove me wrong!!!

I wouldn't worry so much about that, the master collection (date currently 11-11) is only coming out on one system as apposed to five. Beside that a different audience.
