This actually worries me as far as how the final game will turn out.
I know it's only a month, but considering the game was already delayed by a year?
This makes me wonder just how bad the game would have been if it released last fall.
Either they don't want to cut something that's almost finished out or the Keep needs more work.
This has nothing to do with the Keep, although they would probably appreciate the extra time as well.
This is about polish and making the best game we can.
I think this wouldn't of been so bad if I hadn't just spent like 2 hrs reading up on that Yogadventures thing, so now its like but delays could end up like that and mean no game!!!
Stil not released the same time in EU as North America. I do not care when the game is released i just want a world wide release on the same day.
Why is that so hard to do?

I Know, Seriously they need to stick to their Guns, quit trying to make the Game shiny, if you Polish something to much, you end up damaging it.
That is actually an interesting concept. While this is certainly true of physical objects, not so much with software. The concept of polish is to improve quality. Too much doesn't really exist as you will almost never reach 100% in this area. "Damaging" it is possible, but that usually manifests as very obvious bugs.
I'm just extremely worried the quality will actually go down. I'll have to make sure to compare the state of the game in the launch trailer with trailers like Lead Them or Fall to tell if there's a critical difference like that of watch dogs.
Don't get me wrong, graphics aren't everything, but it does not bode well
Can anyone from Bioware comment that November 18th is gonna be the official "no really" release date of DA:I? I put vacation hours into the days surrounding October 7th

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
I mentioned it on Twitter, but I'll mention it again here.
A month of pre-ship bugfixing/polish time is equivalent to a year/year and a half or more after ship.
It sucks to have to wait, I know. I'd love to have a normal weekend again, and this means it'll be an extra month before that happens, but I'd rather make sure that this game is the best game we can possibly deliver.
I don't know the state of the game, but I believe it is justified to be cautious when confronted with delays in light of games like Watch_Dogs where the game did indeed come out worse after it's delays.
I'm not saying I believe it will be better if released in October. I'm saying things happen, and I hope Bioware does not follow in Ubisoft's footsteps...
Besides, I'm going to get it either way just because I have an almost insatiable need to see how the story continues :3
I think some people are automatically assuming that delay = better quality, which is not entirely true. As others have mentioned Watch Dogs is a good example of this. In addition, let us not forget the messes that were Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem. Do I think that DA:I will be this type of bad quality and that the delay won't make the game better? Absolutely not; however, if there is another delay that pushes the game back I will have to cancel my preorder and await player reviews just as a precaution. I do not foresee this happening though and have a strong belief that the game will be better. Now let us just hope that Bioware has some extra marketing stuff for us to make the extended timeframe go more quickly.
It's fine to be concerned if the game's quality isn't that of our marketing stuff (you should do that anyways, after stuff like Colonial Marines).
But the idea that those games were "made worse" between the marketing shots and the game's release is a very perplexing one for me
It's absolutely true that a delayed game doesn't mean the game will definitely be without issues, and it's perfectly fine to take the news as a concerning thing because it means the game wasn't ready for October 7th. But I'd be very surprised if the games you mentioned would have been higher quality if they had simply released what they had at an earlier point of time.
If the reason the game was delayed was the same as Mass Effect 3's was (in order to shoehorn in multiplayer), I am not going to be pleased.
Mass Effect 3's MP was being developed for approximately the same amount of time as the SP.
How about you just give me a copy of the game so I can help test it for bugs and glitches for you BioWare?

Not even lying, I could actually do Q&A and other game design...stuff (since I have a Bachelors Degree in the subject, which also functioned as a computer science degree + project management one too), and I have developed and tested minor games in groups and the like. However, I currently live nowhere close to a BioWare headquarters (I like in Virginia), and I actually have no ACTUAL job experience (something I know is preferred in potential employees) in the video game industry as of yet (only in networking and computer security, a more secure job until the opportunity arises, if it arises).
The shame...
Apply anyways if you see something that interests you ![]()
I think just maybe he was trolling you.
Only moderately, if we didnt want people we wouldnt have positions would we ![]()
Also we used to have a studio in Fairfax but then they moved away from being part of BioWare.
Also a reminder, single image posts will be removed
If it goes any further than november, im driving one province over, and camping on their lawn.
We work in the same building as a hotel, so you dont have to worry about accommodations, heck I may join you in the pub for a drink if you do ![]()
I'm ok with this, more time to make a quality game. Besides Oct. 7 just seemed like an odd time. (despite it being perfect for my birthday <.<;; ) Release the game closer to the holiday season would mean it's less likely to have dropped in price and more people will have money saved up to buy this for Christmas.
It's a win for EA, Bioware and us.
That being said, I wonder if they'll ever mention some of the bugs (maybe amusing?) that are causing this delay.
I wouldnt say there is a small subset of bugs that are causing a delay, you would be surprised what can be found and fixed in a short period of time, with some of the talent we have here.
So, will this game release before Half Life 3?
I assume so, although I am pretty sure that Valve could just choose to create an instant flop for someone if they came out the same day.
Basically Valve coming out and saying "You have activated my trap card", and you are sitting there thinking... This is Pokemon, there is no trap cards. Then you get hit by an instant death card.
Okay maybe I am a bit loopy.... Pay no attention to me.
A six week delay is not that big a deal and honestly I'm not surprised. And it's a good thing. I know ME3 was a different team, but it really needed a better polish for the SP. Here's hoping the extra time leads to an outstanding game.
A lot of people on ME3 are on this team... A lot
Why do you think ME3 is in DAI
? As far as I know ME and DA have both a permanent core team, but a lot of devs switch between them based on the game Bioware is focusing on.
Yah basically this, there as also people from Dragon Age that worked on Mass.
Me for example I was on Mass and then I came onto this project. There are core people that remain only on a single franchise but there is a good amount of people that "swing" back and forth.
All you need to do is look at credits and see there are some people who have been involved in every BioWare game.
But I want Fluffier Trees, Templarier Animals, and Prettier Templars...please, Bioware, can I haz this???
Your game experience that you will have will indeed have all these compared to the Dragon Age Inquistion you are playing right now ![]()
Out of context clarification: I am saying because Freedheart is not currently playing the game, I can say that these will happen because they have no basis of comparison since they are asking for things that vary based on a baseline... Also welcome to my sense of humour.
Pretty much this, I think they have Not Alpha, Alpha, Gold
Well we have Beta but generally it is the same thing as Gold ![]()
