Y'all, I just realized this is a perfect excuse to "NOT IT!" the Thanksgiving dinner this year. Because I'll be playing this video game still. And research or whatever.
I'm good. I'm so good.

Looks like Shadow of Mordor just had a boost in it's sales...
I think they should release all the romances and VAs, to appease the community also a CC video!
In a more serious note, I am not that worry it is just a couple of days.

Wait a minute, Turkey, Mashed potatoes and DAI

All this BSN rage...

Really? Some relatives of mine relatives earn 100 dollars per month, have to pay the bills, feed the entire family, pay for kids education and for doctors. Don't laugh at others' expenses especially if you know nothing about their life. That's just jerkish
Since I'm not laughing at their life hardships I don't see how that's relevant. I am laughing at particular statements made in this thread, that's all.
Wait a minute, Turkey, Mashed potatoes and DAI
You're getting the idea.
... after his experience on the romance thread today, David has decided to make all companions gay males...
......So.... they'd be the Village People?
I'm sorry, I cannot resist the picture that came to mind...

Nooooooooooooooooooo. ![]()
I guess this means I won't have to rush through playing Destiny when I buy it in September now.
And I'm planning on taking the entire week of Thanksgiving off from work, so now I know what I'll be doing with that glorious free time.
Guess I might have to do another run through of DA:O and DA II again as well. ![]()

@ Sofajockey - Wrong, wrong, wrongety-wrong-wrong!!! And too funny!
I hope they are not cutting content.
I fear EA rode in on their expensive cars and looked over the game and said "That's too much content. You must chop a third of that away and say it is DLC...you have one month to do so"
Then they rode out in even fancier cars.
...I seriously think they are going to gut some of the game and release it as dlc later on...
So, if I were, hypothetically speaking and in the spirit of pure selfishness, to ask if they could just throw it back one month more so it completely misses my horrible deadline crunch at work, would it be terribly unpopular?
You're laughing at people's expenses which literally means losing money. Maybe for you 50$ is not much. For some it is a lotSince I'm not laughing at their life hardships I don't see how that's relevant.
CALLED IT, all the way back in June.
I'd did say that there was no way that BioWare was gonna make their October release date, and I was right.
Feels good.
Now is BioWare gonna make that November 18th date? Highly doubtful. But EA's gonna try.
At the time of my original prediction, I also said that they were going have to delay it to Spring '15(if they were smart). And I still stick by that opinion. They don't have the man power, the time, or the technical prowess to pull it off in time. Not unless they want to release a noticeably incomplete, bug ridden game.
Better to delay it until it's ready and relatively bug free, than to rush it out and be a broken, incomplete mess.

Literally that's what it means, but the phrase is mostly used to mean someone is at the butt end of the joke.
But I think you're missing the point: It's funny because no one is actually being cheated out of their money by a one-month delay. You are still getting the game or alternatively you can still get a refund. It's ridiculous untrue hyperbole.

I really fail to see the issue here. Someone pre-ordered the game expecting a release in October but the game was delayed to November. The person who pre-ordered the game could have already paid in full and a game coming out later doesn't change the financial situation. All that changes is that you get a game later. And that is why I do agree it is rather silly to feel insulted, as someone in here claimed for the game now coming out in November and then stating it was a waste of that money. If that particular person doesn't have time to play in November they can more than likely just get their money back. If the person already felt 50 bucks was a lot of money, nothing has changed.

Given the marrketing they have already put into the game delaying till spring would waste resources since they are counting some with marketing, maybbe Feb 2015 at the latest, but the 18th of novermember is more then just a polishing thing its a solid date to release a game and make their first dlc at the end of dec or very early 2015.
The delay to me sees somewhat marketing driven, along with the polish and fine tuning.
Just my two bits.
So, if I were, hypothetically speaking and in the spirit of pure selfishness, to ask if they could just throw it back one month more so it completely misses my horrible deadline crunch at work, would it be terribly unpopular?
Yes...yes it would
Then use brackets, different font to emphasize the meaning or clarify your intention. Otherwise you phrase does sound literal. And laughing at people's expenses is lowLiterally that's what it means, but the phrase is mostly used to mean someone is at the butt end of the joke.

They are. They always do. All of their games have cut content.
This is true for every AAA game, and most non-AAA games.
*BADGER* DONT TEMPT THE MAKER!!!
Well, maybe people here should be more civil towards those who have doubts and concerns? That seems like a common sense, doesn't it?
And maybe some people have so much work and studying to do they have to plan their schedules to even just play a game in advance?
Just, you know, some food for thoughts maybe?
I am civil to those that earn it. Being hostile to the devs because they did not share inside knowledge of the game (before they might have even known about this months ago in his original thread) I will not be civil towards.
And I work 60+ hours a week and still have anywhere from 2-3 courses a semester so I know about budgeting my time. Sorry but if you are acting like not getting a answer from a developer that you really have no right to or a game getting pushed back (that is the nature of software development) is some terrible affront then you either are living the good life or are seriously mismanaging your time and efforts.
Shrug me off if you want but many need to learn the world does not revolve around themselves and this delay was not done to harm any of us.
