I'm seeing a lot of comparisons to watchdogs and I find that really, horrifically unfair. Bioware can clearly animate a PC with two X chormosones
Delayed until November 18?

I understand and I am glad there is more time for polishing the gameIndeed, there is a note of value for the money, I can understand why some people can be affected by this.
In super technical sense, us (as in a company), make less off people (a consumer) by pushing back. Due to the principal of time value of money.
Some folk will be bitter though, for their own reasons. As long as everyone acts civil it is okay though, right? No need to fight

Hopefully this means that they are just bug fixing and not cutting content to meet the deadline.

They already cut content. They'll probably still cut some other content. I wonder if they'll cut more with the delay.Well this was not unexpected considering there are floating dead people in the official screenshots.
Hopefully this means that they are just bug fixing and not cutting content to meet the deadline.

They could of just explained all the bugs and glitches as effects of magic.

It all depends on how you define cutting content. There are something things that get cut because they are simply not fun or mess up pacing. So you can still have stuff cut during polishing, you know like polishing metal, you are technically losing bits and pieces but in the end it ends up being better (albeit lighter... technically)

Which they haven't announced yet, and as far as I know they'd have already announced it if they followed the past pattern.

Thanks for answering; and 21st, actually.

You might want to look at the 2nd E3 video again. They were hanging ropes. Nice troll try, though.

As a wife of a game developer, I understand the struggle of "crunch time" and how it really affects everyone who is working on the game--NOT just the devs, but their spouses, kids, friends and other family as well. It's TOUGH. Adding an extra 5 weeks of crunch onto a team of devs is so rough for everyone involved, and I really feel for the families.
I hope you guys can take a nice and deserved break/vacation after the game releases and enjoy yourselves.
I really appreciate all of the hard work by the DA team! Much
to you guys. Can't wait for the game in November ![]()

It won't be make me less pissed in the case my character will move again in slow motion. So I prefer a better bug fixing phase.

I generally meant stuff like story, plot of features. I can't obviously know what you cut so far, but based on Gaider's tweets when he mentioned cuts in DAI, I think he cut somethink more important that metal bits

well from all the videos i've seen lately, the game looks amazing, hence why i'm so excited for it's release, if it means waiting for it to be even better, i can pout quietly, at the end of the day as long as i get the game thats what matters, good luck with all the polishing up to the devs, can't wait til i can actually play it, i look forward to 2 days of no sleep because i won't beable to put the game down ![]()

There's a lot of stuff coming out in october now, and I've always see as delaying the game for more time to work to be better then rushing the game and having it show. It gives them more time to fix up some things, and a month is hardly something to worry about when it comes to delays. A month more is hardly something to get upset about when you think about other games that have delayed into the years.
I forget the quote, but there is a saying about delays for games by someone from Nintendo and how they're better than shipping out a buggy gross game.
This is Biowares big game, they want to get it right. Imagine the massive backlash if they released the game with some massive game breaking bugs after all this time when there has been a hesitation towards their games in the media.

I have a hard time visualizing what kind of quality difference six weeks could really have on a game of this scope and size. One less bug is one less bug but still... Maybe I'm thinking in too linear a fashion.
I suppose it's probably more productive to think of it not like six weeks, but 100,000+ man hours.

From Ashes was announced 2 weeks before release. I said never again. So this hinges on weather i'm waiting for the Ultimate/Platinum/Gold/Complete/GOTY edition.

You'd be surprised just how much you can clean up in 5 to 6 weeks time.

For some people during crunch that is equal to two and a half months...
Picture what you can do in 2 and a half months when you are focused.

It is just that even if they don't spend money on the game in one month they may simply have no additional money left next monthBut... that's not how money works. You would have had to spend that money regardless of when DAI is coming out. You can take your expenditures and move them around as much as you want, but it doesn't change anything: your income is still X, and your expenses are still Y.
Majority of expenses are about the most important stuff like food, bills and medicine. What's saved and additionally earned is spent on cool things like games and new pretty pair or shoes. But such money often gets unexpectedly spent on more important stuff. And spending the money meant for paying for the central heating on a game is just unwise
I'm pretty new to this stuff though, my parents and brother do better but they have already graduated from good colleges and have real jobs
