My biggest fear is that this is turning into The new Great Incident of 2014 aka Watchdogs.
Other than getting downgraded graphics I have had zero optimization issues with Watch Dogs on my PC.

This makes me wonder just how bad the game would have been if it released last fall.
The delay from last year was to add the extra races and probably other customisation. This delay is undoubtedly to give it a final bug fixing and polish and therefore can only be a good thing.
I am saddened by the delay but I am slightly glad about it as well since I am picking up Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition in the middle of August and will be happy to have to extra time to play and focus on it rather than playing it for a month and a half and then BOOM Inquisition lol. Now Ill have an extra month to focus on that and maybe Destiny which comes out Sept. 9.
I'm trying to look on the bright side ok?! lol
...I'm going to earn a lot of hate by saying that works out well for me.
Civilization: Beyond Earth comes out in late October. I was concerned Inquisition was going to be keeping me busy during then. Now it won't.
I don't get it...
Sorry, but I pre-ordered this for the PS 4 and planned on getting it on the PS 4. This is really insulting to me as a fan (as I have been loyal through Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3).
What? "Insulting"? Oh, my... ![]()
People actually think a month delay will make the game worse? With how ridiculously large some day one patches are getting, I'm happy to wait an extra month.
This delay has given me some free time for Alien: Isolation and Shadow of Mordor, and actually gave me something to look forward to in November. I can't complain.
Can anyone from Bioware comment that November 18th is gonna be the official "no really" release date of DA:I? I put vacation hours into the days surrounding October 7th, but I might be lucky and get them changed to the week of November 18th. I just don't want to do that, and see you guys change the release date again.
I'm ok with the delay because I fell it will help the game be even stronger and more bug free.
As someone said on my Twitter "A delay disappoints for a month, a rushed game disappoints forever".

Just so I'm clear, you think that the game would be better if we released in October, but with the extra month we'll make it worse?
That's logic for them...

Not implying that's what s/he's referring to, but given the Watch Dogs delay and the unquestionable graphical downgrade that followed, some people are understandably worried about game delays these days.
Not me, though.
Well...This is really disappointing. I'm not doing very well as it is and to push it back another month with the possibility of it being pushed back again...I hope by the time this game does come out I am still well enough to play it. Seriously...I am running out of time.
I'd be lying if I said i wasn't disappointed, but i'll have other games to keep me busy.
Hmm sounds more like a marketing choice given that puts it closer to the holidays, but also closer to some releases of games that will be running against it.
I've lost all my confidence in this game.
Well your glass is half empty for some reason.
Yeah what was that crappy game that got delayed a month close to release.
to be fair, it IS a crappy game.
At least, it was to me.
My problem, is I have No Love for any other game coming out this year, and all are sub par in my opinion, i was happy when we hit july, and i only had to wait 3 months... but nyuuuuuuuuuuuuu the Maker threw it through the breach, and said "wait till november"
Smart move, to move it to after the Assassin's Creed release. Get the AC hypetrain out of the way, let it roll out, then take over the month with fewer big releases. It's a good move, we don't want this game overshadowed by anything.

It sounds like it's just a minor delay. Certain games out there were released too early and needed a patch every few weeks to fix issues. I'd rather wait a little bit longer than go through that.

I hope that's sarcasm. Otherwise this thread might get really dark.
So who already had their Pre-Order's set up for a Inquisition's October 8th Release, and are now Re-thinking that? my entire concept was to walk into the Store, drop the 20 bucks i still have left to pay, and than walk out.
I have the deluxe edition and the collectors guide pre ordered but that's not going to make me change my mind, I had Arkham Knight pre ordered before it got delayed, your pre order just moves to the new release date.

He was a bit ambiguous in his post, but I think what he was referring to how Watch Dogs was hyped and looked great and even got delayed and everything, then got released with a lot of bugs and optimization issues.
So he's afraid what was released so far was polished as much as possible, but the final game won't be as polished.
I think xD
Annoying for me personally (smack dab in the middle of uni rather than right at the start and I really can't afford to be messing around), but eh, these things happen, and I don't think anyone could reasonably suggest that this is the result of the devs sitting around twiddling their thumbs.
(Reasonably being the operative word; this is the internet.
)

I'm relatively sure the DA fanbase would be happy with a game that wins a billion GOTY awards, but yeah tastes vary.
Oh well. I will do another playthrough of DAO and DA2 to pass the time. Heck, I might do another trilogy run of ME as well
Another month of misery...

Oh well, at least there is Destiny & Modor to fill the void.
