I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it.

So! I'm sure you have some moments you like more than others. Please share!

What comes immediately to mind for me is the talks with Legion in ME2. The hum of the room and the content of the conversations is what really made me fall in love with the series.

-I'm gonna go straight for the shallow but jaw-droppingly impressive moment: thresher maw vs reaper.

-If by "favorite moments" you mean moments that cornered my emotions in a dark alley and after brutally stabbing them 197 times left them to slowly bleed to death, then I would also have to mention: Mordin's death, Legion's death, saying goodbye to Garrus, last conversation with Anderson, and leaving Earth at the beginning of ME3. So, in summary, ME3 pretty much kept stabbing me in the heart over, and over , and over again.

-ME2 is my least favorite game in the trilogy but it has one of the best game openings I've ever seen. I can't deal with the frantic-breathing-inside-the-helmet effect, though. That sort of effect has always been incredibly unsettling and claustrophobia-inducing to me. It's so bad that when watching 2001: A Space Odyssey I have to mute the breathing parts or else I start feeling like I'm suffocating.

-Speaking with Sovereign

-Speaking with Vigil

-The conversation with Conrad about his degree and his research in the field of... ah, I don't remember exactly what it was but I do remember my tears. My tears and giggle-snorting.

-Everything involving matriarch Aethita.

Hmm there's so many, most of them are conversations with certain entities.

(disclaimer: this list is made with Extended Cut in mind)

The monologue describing your Shepard during the opening of ME1

Innocent/girl next door Liara (I never thought of her as creepy, she had a 'first love' vibe. I admired how honest she was about it.)

Confronting the Thorian

Convo with Sovereign

Convo with Saren on Virmire

Vigil

TIM convos in ME2

Visiting the Migrant Fleet in ME2

Suicide Mission (mainly due to mission design and the music...THAT MUSIC! I'm pumped just thinking about it.)

Javik (not only one of the best squadmates in the series, but one of the most bad ass companions in all RPGs)

ME3's callbacks to 'innocent/girl next door' Liara (somewhat making up for the complete break in character throughout ME2)

Geth/Quarian conflict resolution

Convo with Vendetta (Thessia)

"The Party"

Confronting Leviathan

Convo with Vendetta (Cronos Station)

The FOB (Priority Earth)

"We can do this!"

"This is it."

Normandy evac/final goodbye

Anderson/TIM/Shepard confrontation

Convo with the Catalyst (music/explanation of Reaper origins and motives. Did not like child representation though)

Choosing a 'new beginning' for the galaxy.

An End Once and For All

I'm too lazy to pick out every specific scene, so I will name general missions as well as some stand out moments...

Citadel DLC, ME3

Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, ME2

the series of assignments that lead up to the Javelin Missile assignment, ME2 (N7: Archeological Dig Site, N7: MSV Strontium Mule, N7: Blue Suns Base, and N7: Javelin Missiles Launched. ME4 would be my favorite ME game for sure in terms of side quests if it has a LOT of series of assignments like that, but with the story telling of the ME1 assignments.)

Ilos and conclusion, ME1

Tuchanka, ME3

Overlord DLC, ME2

Paragon Control and the epilogue showing how most of my decisions affected the whole galaxy [sorry, but I like this ending so long as I don't think too hard about it and the moment before choosing.], ME3

Kasumi: Stolen Memory, ME2

that feeling I got when I got every achievement on my Xbox 360 AND every trophy on my PS3 copies of ME2 and ME3.

Saving David Archer from Gavin's torture in Overlord, ME2

Seeing David Archer in Grissom Academy after saving him in ME2, ME3

Grunt's day off, ME3

Grunt's sacrifice, then survival in that Rachni mission, ME3

"That was for Thane, you son of a ******!", ME3 [last time I played ME3, I skipped going to see Thane and Miranda died in Sanctuary, and so instead, he said "That was for Miranda, you son of a ******!"]

Been a while since I played ME1, so I can't remember many specific moments [outside of your typical answers such as when you became a Spectre]

When Kelly dances for me Shepard in the captain's cabin after the suicide mission.  It's the only reason I replay ME2 now.

That may or may not be a slight exaggeration.

In no particular order: Mars. The whole mission up until VS gets ganked. For the 1st time in years we've got the band back together with only Wrex absent.

Seeing the Citadel on foot the first time in ME1 and 3. The level of detail and atmosphere was amazing to take in. ME1 Citadel still blows me away.

Ilos mission.

Renegade interrupt at the beginning of Miranda's loyalty mission. Perhaps the most intimidating and badass one in the series.

Landing on Rannoch the first time.

Shadow Broker fight.

Horizon spaceport defense.

Exploring Nonuel. Beautiful planet.

First time playing Overlord. Scared the hell outta me.

My first ME1-ME2 import playthrough.

First time playing Citadel Coup mission. I had really high hopes for Kai Leng's debut.

Honestly, it's to tough for me to list them all. I guess here are a few.

Mordin's death. Legion's death. Captain Kirrahe's speech. Sovereign's attack on the Citadel. Suicide Mission. Grunt dominating the Rachni.

Most importantly: Eden Prime.

far too many threads like these. I find it extremely hard to believe the OP couldn't find anything which leads me to believe he/she didn't even bother searching at all.

1. Jack's recruiting mission

2. Jack's loyalty mission

3. Jack and Miranda fight

4. Jack holding up the barrier/ suicide mission

5. Suicide mission and boss battle

Those are the only epic notable moments for me.

Man, the Suicide Mission and Collector Base were great moments indeed. The former was one of those scared crapless missions where you didn't know what to expect, and the music perfectly set the tone. It's amazing how the Suicide Mission is my favorite mission in nearly all games I've played, second only to MGS4's return to Shadow Moses.

I didn't see any, but then again I was fairly intoxicated when I made this thread.

There is a similar thread in the Story, Campaign & Characters section (I'll just copy/paste my reply from that other thread) :)

Arriving on the citadel the first time
Becoming a spectre in ME1
Ilos/Vigil
Saving the Destiny Ascension
Mordin singing Gilbert and Sullivan
Normandy crash site
LotSB car chase
Aftermath of LoTSB, talking to Liara and inviting her to Normandy
Grunt's epic return
The end of the ardath yakshi monastery mission (stopping Samara from killing herself)
The Citadel party
Pretty much everything Glyph does in Citadel
Liara's romance scenes
Liara's time capsule
The sword fleet arriving at Earth
The final goodbyes in London (both scenes)
The "Destroy" epilogue (cheering Humans, Asari, Krogan, rebuilt Thessia and Earth, the memorial wall scene, Hacketts speech)

Thank you for answering, though. :)

all of it really, but if i had to pick one monment it would be back during my first time playing ME3.

I had destroyed Merlion's research back in ME2 and Wrex was alive so it made the whole genophage arc  be a redemption story for me and that was so perfectly mirrored by Mordin's. Then with both Eve's and Mordin's death was such a perfectly painful price to pay, a bitter sweet ending to the arc. it will always be the defining moment i think back on when i think about mass effect.

Also i can't being myself to destroyed Merlion's research anymore or even import that character, so i will never have monment again.

The suicide mission at the Collector base was certainly amazing! I can't remember the last time I played the last section of a game multiple times, but ME2's suicide mission was incredibly fun.

Like most people here there are too many to list for me, but my fave's were the whole Vigil scene, and finding out who the Collectors really were. So many great character moments the talk with Anderson at the end though. That hit way too close to home yet it is personally what I think of when Mass Effect is mentioned.

A favorite? Pshhh....man, as so many have said, I can't decide. But off the top of my head I will say that I love Javik's FOB convo with Shepard. Especially the paragon interrupt. Pure gold.

Woww. Sorry...I already made a list on this thread. Didn't realize. My bad.
