A new romance able girl I would like more, or a new companion, or more companions from past games returning.

Unfortunately I doubt any of those things will happen.

Yeah, a single month wouldn't be enough to add a whole new companion to the mix.

A single month delay is not used to add more stuff to the game. The game's release features have been mostly locked for months now. And heck, companions have been a lock for even longer than just some months.

You never know. Gaider did tweet that the meds were making him more open to a broodmother romance ;)

Srsly though, they're not adding anything new.

I am quite certain that shift of the release date is purely to polish the game more.  Honestly, as eager I am to get my hands on the game, I am more than willing to wait an extra month and a half to iron out the bugs.  As mentioned by a dev in the other thread, 1 month pre-release = 1 year post release for bug fixing (a number of devs gets shifted to other projects as soon as the game launches).

So no new content for us!

There's no chance of this. The game itself is done. its just polishing now. Plus one month isn't enough time to add a full companion(unlike kasumi and zaeed)

I don't see any extra time for work outside of bug fixing.

There comes a point when you realise you're going to miss the deadline.

When that comes make the decision in good time, not at the last moment.

I can't believe November 18 was picked rashly.

If they needed another 4 weeks I imagine for the sake of the move they have moved it 6.

Personally I hope this push back they make doubly sure to investigate some of the issues you can see in the Gameplay demo, specifically the first segment. I can think of two 'Eh?' things happening in them that seemed a little screwy.

Such as when their approaching the high-dragon and are fighting the little ones. There is a side shot where the Inquisitor repositions herself to hit the little one, and you see one of the characters (Viv) firing flame bolts and it just smacking in terrain. Smarter AI that would recognize after one or two shots that they aren't hitting crap would def. need a look at. But that could just be a visual bug and her attacks are actually hitting, but I doubt it.

Another instance is near the end of the High Dragon fight, said dragon is swooping towards them and launches a fireball only to have it collide with a tree and happily burn weirdly as opposed to blowing the tree away and continuing on it's marry way. As far as destructible environments go I'm fairly certain DA:I isn't built that way, but the collide on that Fireball really seems like a sketchy detail.

There are other instances were it seems somethings not firing off correctly, like companions standing around 'Derping', more collidable issues with spells and whether or not the spell goes through despite this, or if a believable sense of terrain shielding is put in play. Like the dragons fireball above, it hit the top of a tree which really should have snapped that area like a twig and, even if it altered the trajectory of the attack, or dispersed it, that tree should have been obliterated rather then having a Christmas tree like effect with the fire on top of it. Another instance of terrain vs spells would be in the end fight with Alexis in movie 2, but the timing of said spell hitting the pillars and Alexis entering phase 2 could have just negated the spell entirely.

Anyway, boo for the delay, but yay if it's all about Bug fixing. Boo if it's the conspiracy romance theorist's saying Mr. Gaider has finally lost his cool and switched all the romances rage gating: Nug.

As far as I know, they will not be adding any new content. They're focused on making the existing content work.

Given the amount of issues at launch there was with the latest game using the Frostbite Engine (Battlefield 4) I'm glad they are taking the time to try and polish the game. But that's still the worst news I've had this week :(

Well, on the brigth side, It'll be released after the end of my college term so I'll be able to play it with no worries :)

I'd far rather they delayed and made sure everything worked okay than rush it out and spend my initial playthrough encountering glitches.     I'm disappointed that it will miss my mid term break but now it will be after the clocks go back so plenty of long winter evenings to utilise.

polishing content is what they say when they forgot to add in a multiplayer and are trying to hide the fact that they are running around in circles trying to figure out how to resolve the issue

Let it stay forgotten.

Or having blood-magic back (I still hate it that they removed it)

But:

Another romance option would be welcome, too!

greetings LAX

ps: I think they found some bugs (that can happen...I did a little (very very little) programming myself and even in my few lines of code, bugs die creep up sometimes (with millions of lines more, it is a million times more likely, too!))

Hell i just want them to change that stupid "press button to reveal items" garbage.

They patched auto-attacking into DA2. Now fix this new horrible decision.

My guess is just that they looked what they had and wanted to have and realised they had too tight schedule to make all they want to have happen so they took more time for it. I'm sad since I have been waiting for this game ages but I will get it over with.

I am sure this pushback means that we will have to listen to a whole bunch of whiners, with little concept of game development, whine about how the first DLC could aswell have been part of the shipped game.... Oh well...

Nothing will be added at this point, as a few other posters pointed out. In future DLCs though, why not?

I'm hoping, that the time will actually be used for bug fixing and any needed polish. Because sometimes these things are just marketing speak, where despite an announced delay, the game will be left the way it was a month ago, and released in the exact same state.

I'm all about fixing the bugs and I'm glad they are taking the time to make this game right......but does anything think it will be pushed back to next year? I don't know if my sanity can take that!

"A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad."

If they need extra time to fix bugs and make the game look good, then why the hell would I complain about it?

If I was a cynical man I'd believe a month's pushback would be used to generate more hype. That's if I was a cynical man. I just hope it doesn't screw with my plans to play it :/

Just read that it's going to be a Tuesday for those of us in the EU. Great......
