This is as much to other fans as to the developers at BioWare and I hope that other fans will chime in with their own support of the decision to push back the release date.

First, I know delays have earned a crummy reputation. Companies that don't need to be named have pushed back games until they just never happened. Or possibly worse, they happened and were still buggy as a swamp. However, BioWare has an excellent track record. That is something BioWare has earned by crafting excellent game after excellent game. A company well known for making sure it's games receive the polish before they ship and the support after.

Second, this delay wasn't announced early in development when it could mean that something had derailed badly. DA:I is in pre-Alpha or Alpha now. What does this mean? It means that features are basically set. That this extra time will be spent on polish, on working out bugs, and making features run excellently. This means that the game, when it reaches your hands will not be busted. It also means that the game will not be continuously pushed back.

Third, show the devs some freakin` love. They are breaking their backs to get this game to us in the state that both they and we want to see it in. Which will knock our socks off!

So, please, don't whine about the change, I understand for those that already put in vacation requests, it seriously sucks. It is disappointing when plans go awry, but be glad that you won't be sitting to play a bugged out game when you do sit to play it.

Thank you, BioWare, for standing on quality. I am always thankful that I can trust you guys to put the work in required to have an excellent game worth sinking my money into.

meh.  I wanted the game this summer.

I'm not going to complain about it, but I don't think I need to be a cheerleader because they pushed the date back again for reasons unknown to me.

It's not a long delay so I am not that worried and we already had the extra year extension of development time. That basically forced me into not going mad with waiting, as long as the game comes soon I can handle waiting a bit longer just fine.

If another month is what it takes to get the game out as awesome and polished as possible, so be it. A great finished product is more than worth a long wait. Also if there's anything I've learned about game development, it's that it is not at all an easy process and a lot of unforseen circumstances can arise.

So the devs can take their time, get out a more polished game and make me a happy gamer when the wait finally ends!

Completely support them in this. Absolutely. Yes, it's hard to wait longer, but in the end, more time is only a good thing. Tons of games have been delayed. Let's not forget that DAO was delayed as well.

This only means to me that they are busting their asses to get this right and perfect. I'm okay with that. I'm already mad with excitement and struggling with the wait, if anything, it will make winter easier to bear!

Im actually sort of glad for the delay for 2 reasons 1) it does presumably make the game end up better. 2) one less game in October.

I have no doubt that Bioware will put the extra time to good use and I don't mind the wait. It really isn't that much longer though I understand the frustration for those that booked holiday time. I know that Bioware wants to get us the game as much as we want to play it.  I hope people also understand that the extra time does not mean adding extra stuff to the game,no matter how small the extra request may seem, but to polish what is there or prevent further cuts from taking place.

So to our hard working developers, I give you my gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and love's labor in creating DAI and know that I am looking forward to playing it in November with crazy excitement.  <3 Hugs <3  And take care of yourselves during crunch time, get rest,  and eat your veggies and protein /end mom mode

(Although, I do understand the frustration of the people who booked time off to play it.)

So to the developers- you have my gratitude and appreciation for putting in all the hard work that's making this game, and I can't wait to play it in November! <3

I have no doubt the delay wouldn't have happened unless it was needed...this looks like such a massive undertaking, eating up so many evenings and weekends for the people working on it that I feel like we should be sending them regular care packages full of coffee and cookies to help them through. I honestly haven't been this excited to get my hands on a game since I was a kid wishing for Super Mario Bros on the original Nintendo. THIS IS A LOT OF EXCITEMENT. Much love to the DA:I team for all you do!  <3
