What if there was a seventh class?

It just struck me, though. What if there was a seventh class? What would it be called, what kind of role would it fill? The questions came to me easily enough, but I couldn't immediately think of any answers. Honestly, six seems like the right number, but maybe someone has some fun ideas for a seventh.

Councilor maybe? So you can use the "persuade" option, it feels boring when all you can do is killing enemies, isn't it?

What if the seventh class was an actual support class? It'd be cool to have a class consisting of medics, and other characters whose primary usage is to buff other players. Of course, they'd still have combat capabilities but that's just so they would have some sort of self-defence. I know I actually enjoyed playing as the medic more than any other character in TF2.

Just to expand this: We need a character that has like a giant omni-fan that just blows the smoke away from the smoke grenades Cerberus keeps using. Call it......N7 Fanboy.
Going with the support idea, what about some kind of Scout class, with maybe long-range teleport abilities (not Biotic Charge, just a teleport) and/or enemy detection/revealing abilities?
Teleporting powers would be pretty sweet, and I'd imagine it'd come in handy during tough solos. Also a buffed tac-scan power that could highlight multiple enemies would be great too. It'd be even sweeter if the initial scan could be set to prime targets for BEs or TEs.

7th class would be called infiltrator, what you would do is make the enemy think you are one of them, then stay with them until you find a vulnerability, then get caught and executed.

Any class that can fly a strike plane so we can actually call down a bombardment occassionally.

I think one of the troubles with a 7th class is it doesn't fit into the triumvirate they've instilled since ME1. Biotics/Tech/Soldier, and then ofc derivatives of each via combination.
That being said, if I was to make one regardless, I'd like an "Omni" class that really could demonstrate how versatile and useful that omni-tool could be. A class for kits like the paladin and Talon merc. But expand on that. Empower the shield to do more, make more use of the omni-bow. Create new content around that. Also give them "deployment" abilities perhaps. Setting up a turret in the same way the engineer does. Things like the supply pylon, but expand on that as well. A man-able turret with a cooldown could be fun. (Taking from my experiences as a Bastion in Firefall.) Make it something you have to build up to, or make it consume grenade charges to keep it balanced, but potent. Hell maybe make it consume 3 charges, you can't pick up grenade charges from ammo boxes, you generate them each time you use say, energy drain on an enemy with shields/synethic/etc. Complete random ideas yes, what I'm saying is they had a lot of play with the system. Be neat to see that used in ME4.
If the paladin can create a shield, why can't it be shaped like a pavisse instead? I'd love a mailslot for myself and the ability to shoot with RHA but at a movement speed debuff, and ofc the shield could only withstand so much dmg.
Doesn't have to be only an omnibow/shield either. An Omni two-hander would be pretty damn fun on a vanguard.
I'd love to chuck a smoke bomb back at a centurion and laugh...
etc...

I like the Councilor idea. The Turian Councilor would have a power called "We Have Denied These Claims".
His air quotes would be OP.

Yeah, this occurred to me too. They balanced the six classes off of each other so well, it's hard to shoehorn in the concept of a seventh.
I really like your ideas expanding what you can do with omni tools and deployables. I hope we see abilities like this in the next game.

^ Hah, I was clearly trolling with the Councilor idea.
Though I'm now curious about where did Bioware's 6 classes for ME series originally come from, did they invent the idea or borrow it from other source(s)?

It would be difficult since there are 3 base classes: Soldier, Biotic, and Engineer. Sentinel is Biotic/Engineer, Infiltrator is Soldier/Engineer, Vanguard is Biotic/Soldier so really there's nothing left. There could be a class that was a little of all three possibly. You could be a tanky engineer with a biotic length power, like Fury or Warp or something, or a Biotic engineer with weapons mastery. It would be interesting, but still kind of weird.

The support classes.
Krogan medic, enemies killed by melee release a buff cloud increasing the melee damage for all allies in it's radius, also restoring their health or something,
Batarian surgeon, Injects allies with healing combat drugs, while pinning them down and yelling "STOP STRUGGLING"

It would be a class of medics . Since the name isn't very appealing, we could call them "protectors" (like the Volguard lol) or something similar. Like the vanguards have Biotic Charge, they would have a common ability named "healing", with which they could restore their teammates' shields at distance (maybe at the cost of their own shields, with a casting animation similar to Energy Drain). They could also use one of their own medi-gel to revive a teammate at distance, like Shepard in the SP.
They would also be able to "inject" different substances to their teammates in order to boost temporarily their abilities : their accuracy, rate of fire, speed, resistance, perception (something giving time dilatation for example like the good old Adrenaline Rush), etc.
Their other abilities would include debuff, display (like Tactical Scan I mean), weakening of the ennemies (for example a power reducing ennemies' accuracy for a few seconds) and possibilities to block temporarily ennemies' fire (with a sort of Paladin's shield, or a sphere with less duration but more DR than Biotic Sphere).
I would say that, on 3 powers, they would have two support abilities and 1 offensive power (using poisons for example). To sum up, the whole class would be dedicated to enhance teammates' abilities and weaken ennemies.
I am creative today !

The Combat class. No powers, just guns that actually kill stuff you shoot at, instead of merely taking their shields down by a bar.
Biovar needs to add this class for use in PvP mode in ME4 anyway.
