Although I love all my Turians, I've developed a particular fondness for the Cabal.

 

Her poison strike takes me to places I've never been with any other character.

 

Her nightshade blades make my enemies green with envy.

 

And Turians passives! Say no more.

The Cabal - she's like a secret that won't really unlock. But sometimes she reveals enough to make me want more. It drives me mad.

I used to dislike her too until The Intangible is Unstoppable solo challenge which is one of the two gold solos to date that I managed to pull of with 10 waves survived, and the only one against Cerberus that I didn't have to redo at least a dozen times. The Cabal is actually totally awesome. (If you don't believe me, watch this.) Nightshade Blades for some quite decent upfront damage and damage over time, chance to paralyze and guaranteed stagger with Exploding Blades; shields on demand with Biotic Focus, godly dodge, great melee and glorious Turian passives. What's not to like? The only thing I still find sorta lacking on her is the Poison Strike which I use pretty much just for maneuvering. But she's definitely become one of my favorite Turians.

 

The only Turian that ain't favorite yet is the Saboteur, but I guess I'll learn to love him too some day.

My latest fave is the TSent with Hurricane X with HVB and Power Magnifier.  With Overload at 6, it detonates FEs just fine when you use Incendiary Ammo 4.  Tech armor is great to detonate, too.  In his hands, the Hurrdur is deadly...

For me, liking = being able to play effectively, and so far I haven't found a way to do that with him. Not that I tried very hard either; he's the only Turian I didn't do 200 waves with yet. I'm no good with sabotage kits in general, it always seemed a lackluster power; the homing grenades are the thing to skip on every other kit that has them, so yeah; and the turret is a toy. A nice toy, but still a toy. I'm sure there are plenty people here who can make him work, I'm just not one of them.

Yes, please! If nothing else, it would help with my 200 waves situation.

Ah well.  Sabotage is a very situational power, so not surprising.  Turrets are troll toys for sure.  If you skip on homing, then where else will the damaging power come from?

What I meant was that I skip the homing nades with the Demolisher and the Drell Assassin. I'd definitely use them with the Saboteur, for sabotage+nade tech bursts. Might skip the turret instead for max passives and play him as more of a weapon platform. I've seen people use him as a melee specialist, so that's something to try too, maybe. Some day.

I don't think I've posted in this thread since July, and a little has changed.  

 

The TSent / Lancer is still my favourite, but it's occasionally fun to top score in pugs with a TSol Phaeston.  I've never put top tier weapons on the TSol because it would just be rude.

 

I've learned to enjoy the Havoc with a Raider, the TGI still makes me feel dirty and the Sabo frustrates me in pugs.  I'm going to try a melee build on him next.

 

But the biggest change has been the Cabal.  I originally said I didn't have much experience with her due to hosting issues, but I've overcome those by speccing out of PS and going full melee.  She's glorious.  One of the best characters in the game.  I know she's even better with PS, but I rarely host and it's just not worth the points off-host.  I really don't miss it.  I sustain a bit of variety by rotating shotguns on her.  Highly recommended.

Yes.  I figured some time back this was a weapons based kit.  My scrubby self uses the adas, but I'm helpless when it comes to aiming.

No. I think I am the only one who posted here to mention him as the favorite turian. Curious to see if someone else has a similar opinion.

Saboturian is easily my favorite turian because he shares 2 powers with quarians.

Mine has no fitness and on the rare occasion he comes out for themed games, normally carries a Mattock, Raptor or Saber.
