I like him because firstly I like Engineers, and secondly I happen to like the turret (alone of all BSN) and seem able to make it work for me (alone of all BSN). I wonder if Arc nades would have been a better choice on him, except then he'd count as pretty much totally Quarian.
Yes, please! If nothing else, it would help with my 200 waves situation.
For me, liking = being able to play effectively, and so far I haven't found a way to do that with him. Not that I tried very hard either; he's the only Turian I didn't do 200 waves with yet. I'm no good with sabotage kits in general, it always seemed a lackluster power; the homing grenades are the thing to skip on every other kit that has them, so yeah; and the turret is a toy. A nice toy, but still a toy. I'm sure there are plenty people here who can make him work, I'm just not one of them.
If I can't play effectively I make it up with role-playing or some sort of objective. For the Saboteur I created a textbook headshot myth around, gave him a Vakyrie AR with good consumables and tried to headshot as many things and use my powers situationally (including the grenades).
Unless it's some kind of solo, I put six in turret and skip fitness because Reasons. Efficiency or optimal builds can kiss my turianass , I need to turianturret things.
1) Don't really have favourite as I like TSol, TSen and Havoc.
2) TGI. Just can't get over the feeling that it's too easy and too mainstream.
3) Let's see.
TSol SMG: Hurricane/Tempest AR: Saber/Revenant/Typhoon/CR +acolyte as Phantom stopper.
TSen Tempest/Phaeston (Mainly for TE'S)
Havoc Harrier/Argus/Valkyrie/Saber/Lancer +acolyte as Phantom stopper.
Basically, TSol uses AR's that marksman ability can greatly boost, while I use AR's that don't really benefit all that much from increases RoF with Havoc.

Recon Mine would have fit nicely with his "theme" (or what I perceive his "theme" to be, anyway).

Firstly, I love turret. I love all pet powers - combat drone, decoy, sentry turret, geth turret. Sometimes makes me wish biotics had some sort of 'pet'.
As for the saboteur, I think he's fine the way he is. I am glad he has homing grenades. Arc grenades would've made him more efficient but then he'd become yet another arc grenade spammer and we already have enough of those.
I love my TSent since the demo days, and I use all sortsa weapons on him, except for SRs.
I use the TGI and the Saboteur the least.
1. Turian Soldier all the way for me. He's such a good changeup from the usual power-heavy setups I favor.
2. Cabal is my least played, mostly because of off-host poison strike woes, and because I don't feel like I understand her yet.
3. Soldier: off-host, Saber and Eagle is my typical locker. When I'm hosting, I sometimes use the GPR + Plasma SMG purely for the hilarity factor. Gotta shoot fast.
Sentinel: Arc Pistol and CSMG is my current favorite.
Come to think of it, the Saber finds its way into nearly all of my Turians' lockers. Now that I finally have the Lancer, I need to go back and play around with my Turian kits. Also, I've found that I enjoy fat OG Turians more than the Armigers, probably because I just need to git gud at dodge.
I think actually Flying Fat Havoc Bumblebee Turian got the least mentions. I have been playing Bumblebee Turian a lot lately and I think I'm in love, I can turianbomb mobs with havoc strike and cyro blast is one of my favorite debuffs in the game.

Plz. I know you secretly love the Quarksman, which somewhat makes up for your dissing of arcgrenades and your laughable assertions that the HI can hold a candle to the QFI

also, who needs lolfitness on a character with 750 shields and goddamn jetboots (well, actually I probably do because the jetboots are really annoying and launch me into swarmers more often than not but W/e) when you could have a turret for 33% more quarian roleplay oppourtunities?

I don't 'love' quarksman. It's just that there are only 2 marksman character and only one of them has a dodge. So, I am stuck with him. If there were any race (except a volus) with a dodge and marksman, I'd pick it over the quarksman.
Also, my dislike for quarians isn't just in MP. I hate them in SP too - in fact I hate them in SP more than MP. But that's a different topic altogether and I'd rather not go over it here and derail this good thread.

Well, in that case you should use Mantis then, not any of those others.
Quarians are good on the singleplayer (for all 3 games) and multiplayer. FQI is my favourite class, and you have to feel sorry for Lia'Vael.
The Tsent (his name is Corvus) was the character that got me settled in Silver a few months ago. He's very survivable and plays similarly to my SP sentinel Shepard. I like the Phaeston on him because lore. I've only played him in Gold once (in an all-turian theme game with Mordokai and GruntKitterhand) and gave him the Hurricane on that occasion.
Even before I saw this thread, I was planning on giving my quarians the day off one day this weekend and play turians to do some weapon challenges. I played Tsol (his name is Aquila) last weekend to finish the Revenant challenge, and deployed the TGI (his name is Umbrosus) for the GPR challenge because he makes even the weakest assault rifles effective. This weekend, I would like to try Aquila with some shotguns. If he can't make me enjoy shotguns, no-one can.
The Cabal (her name is Medea) is one of the characters I soloed Bronze with in my pre-BSN days. Biotic Focus makes her so survivable, which I need due to extreme scrubosity. Her dodge catches me off guard though, I tend to phase through walls accidentally and then wonder where I am. And then it happens again.
I haven't deployed the Havoc or Saboteur yet.

The Raptor flavour text says that it's a human version of a turian weapon. There's actually a small Cerberus logo on the stock. But hey, even a Cerby knock-off of a turianrifle is a fine weapon in a turian's hands.

It still counts as turian for me even if hewmon racists manufactured it and plastered their logo all over it out of what I can only assume is some form of ironic in-joke.

My turians don't touch the raptor because they all have carpal tunnel they refuse to use some scummy hooman rip-off of a superior turian design. (but mostly the first reason)
