OK, Saboteur lovers, convince me why 6 ranks in Sentry Turret and only 4 in glorious Turian passives are better than the other way around.

Because I'm thinking ranks 5 and 6 of the glorious Turian passives have to be better than ranks 5 and 6 of Sentry Turret.

I run 4/4 split between turret and fitness. Max passives for power/power/weapon.

For a melee build, which is my favorite for him, I split 4/4 between turret and passives.

Saber Tsent all Day long!! My Tsent & the Saber are just stuck together in harmony :-D

The best thing about having you in the game is the continuous Saber BOOM echoing round the map :)

The 6 turret actually convinced me that the rocket turret is far more useful than the flamer turret for my purposes.  As a troll toy, the rocket deals a lot more damage than the flamer which seems to kill nothing. LOL. After using this guy, I respecced all my turret kits in both PC and Wii U to use rockets. :)  No rockets, no turrets at all.  Cryo ammo upgrade is also nice for that bonus frozen husk that could have bothered you.

If turians don't have biotic powers, why do turian sentinels have warp?  I want a turian adept! LOL.

What I meant was that I skip the homing nades with the Demolisher and the Drell Assassin. I'd definitely use them with the Saboteur, for sabotage+nade tech bursts. Might skip the turret instead for max passives and play him as more of a weapon platform. I've seen people use him as a melee specialist, so that's something to try too, maybe. Some day. :)

i can understand on the drell but on the demolisher they pair too well with arc to skip imo

Never skimp on the glorious turianpassives, not even for turianturret.

Actually a 4/4 split between fitness and turianturret is probably the best all around approach but I play Turian Saboteur at midrange and snipe and turret draws aggro, so fitness is not that necessary.

Regular Turians are too fat for my liking (although very goodTM), so my favorite is the slender and sexy Cabal. She doesn't have as much depz as the others, but she has flexibility.

Would pack a Phaeston on her for maximum roleplay, but the Phaeston sucks too much, so I slap a Lancer.

I took a look at how I specced mine and curiously, I have

sabotage 3

homing 5

turret 6

passives all maxed.

My fitness is always specced for shields which is pretty much a requirement for me on PC because I'm a scrub schmuck.

I've never touched Cabal. I read a bit of the character and she just scares the hell out of me.  Vanguard with no biotic charge sounds like a dead vanguard to me.

She has a regen, were she doesn't even have to charge to regen a portion of her barrier. if you spec Biotic Focus right.

Well, I guess that's down to me not knowing a lot of the character.  Just like the recently unlocked AIU.  Sounds like an infiltrator version of the N7 paladin with OP repair magic.

Having read this thread, I just took out my Saber Saboturian for a couple Gold games. I'm a total scrub (it is known) and I scored fairly well (by my standards) by tossing the turret into spawns and sniping loose stuff with the Saber. The turret was always in the killfeed.

You don't have to skip the passives, but the Turret is not something to skip points on. It needs 4a, 5b, 6a to be truly effective.

He has the magical 1050 at fitness 4b. You don't get any useful benefit from more (because shieldgate). So 6 in Turret, 6 in Passives, 4 in Fitness, 65564 or 66464. With the latter you still have a full power turret,  you have Homing nades that do decent damage as a panic power (and with Tech Vulnerability in Sabotage they detonate massive Tech Bursts - sabotage an Atlas, fire Homing nade, and it may not even require shooting after that), you have full passives for weapons, and you have enough shields for Gold or Plat.

That's my build for her. But you can try her with a Talon, Wraith, Harrier. Arc pistol is very effective and Javelin if you're feeling exotic and want to exploit the biotic focus showing you every enemy at Javelin's scope range.  :P

Also, I don't know if it was posted her, but I if not than I feel it must be:

I watched one video where the guy specced for range instead of damage on poison strike.  Is her range good enough by default?

I can't really tell. I personally feel 12 meters is the sweet spot. 18 meters means you go further, but you may phase through a whole building unwillingly. If you use it solely as an escape/traverse tool, then 18 meters may work better for you.

I use Poison Strike as sort of a travel power and to bamboozle enemies such as Brutes by Poison Striking at them when they are charging me. And I don't want to be too far from them when I come out of PS.

7 meters is nearly worthless. With that you'll get stuck in Praetorian guts, you will get stuck in Brute packs and so on.

Ah.  That's one thing.  I don't bring the kit to gold/platinum because I know I suck at gold and platinum.  Totally.  Embarrassingly sucky.  Just ask crashsuit!

I will take your advise to heart though and do nothing with it. LOL!

re: Turian Saboteur Sentry Turret

So not only do you want me to put 6 ranks into Turret, but you want me to skip 4b Shock in favor of 4a Shields & Damage... so the rocket does 510 damage instead of 390 damage? I am dubious that skipping Shock for a measly 120 extra damage on a pet can possibly be worth it. Shock is so useful against Cerberus !

Although I suppose if I'm going to burn a re-spec to make the Saboteur with a 0 Fitness build, I may as well try all 6 ranks in Turret for SCIENCE!

re: the Sabre

Have you ever noticed it sounds different when you're using it compared to when you hear someone else using it? When you're using it, it sounds fairly impressive and deep. When someone else is using it, it sounds higher pitched, almost tinny, and a bit wimpy. This is most noticeable with good headphones.

However I do think the Sabre is my favorite overall AR, at least when I have been playing often enough to get into the groove (so... not recently thanks to DAI MP). I can distinctly remember one game as the TSent on Reactor where I kind of desperately Sabre'd through the reactor and headshot'd a Phantom... it was one of those games where I could just do no wrong for some reason.

Turian biotics are pretty uncommon according to lore and generally not as powerful as far as biotics as some other races. This could explain why only the Sentinel has warp and why the only Turian with biotic abilities only has one biotic power. Generally Turians with biotic abilites are regulated to units called Cabal.

I think actually Flying Fat Havoc Bumblebee Turian got the least mentions. I have been playing Bumblebee Turian a lot lately and I think I'm in love, I can turianbomb mobs with havoc strike and cyro blast is one of my favorite debuffs in the game.
but then I love all Turians, obviously.

There are refreshingly few problems in this game that cannot be solved by repeatedly slamming a demented Turian junkie into them. Or at least if it doesn't work the first time, it might do on the 10th.

Agreed. The 4th Evo on turret is great as it staggers most mooks. But any points in turret ought to come out of fitness IMO.

I want you to do what makes you happy :)

The turret fires steadily from deployment, so the extra damage adds up pretty well. The people on the forum who say the turret doesn't work are those who don't spec it to the full. If you really want to see what it can do, go for power damage in the passives - you can get damage over 700 with a power amp as well.

Here's how I'd spec him for that: http://kalence.drupa...319515!34!0E3EC

The Homing Nades are there to exploit the Tech Vulnerability of Sabotage on bigger stuff like Atlases and Primes.

BTW, if you want to shock Cerb, the HE's Drone does it better in every way.

Turret mechanics in case anyone's interested.

http://forum.bioware...echanics-tests/

There are some unique and weird mechanics about sentry turret also.

-It can score headshots occasionally. (wonder if it benefits from headshot gear, lol)

-Flamer turret actually damages shields more than armor.

-Only shock evo benefits from tech vulnerability.

I also wonder whether it's cryo ammo on it sunders armor?

The Turian Saboteur is my most played, but either him or the Cabal are easily my favourite (love Saboteur for his pet & the Cabal for her teleports + Turians in general for their excelling passives). My fave weapon for both these Turians is the Lancer, of course.
