1. Turian Soldier
2. Turian Saboteur, Homing grenades are meh, and Sabotage has way too long of a cooldown.
3. Turian Soldier with the Locust FTW.

Weird.
Btw... all those turians aren't fat. If you see them out of armor (there are quite a few of them on the Citadel), then you'll notice that they have slim waists and a bit of a barrel chest. Probably the reason why their voices have that reverb going on. ^^
Well yes
The big bulky armor is what turns a normal turian into fat turian no dodge
Btw... all those turians aren't fat.
I always understood it as referring to the look their armor gives to the OG Turians.
i always understood it as phat turians
I played with the Saboteur yesterday. I usually think that the class is less useful because of more 'boring' powers, but I actually ended up doing okay with an Incisor. Blew my mind, because I think of that gun as being a piece of garbage. I just load him up with guns, usually, because I never end up getting tech bursts with sabotage. I will probably promote soon so that I can try a different build, though.
Weird..I was doing a re-run thru of Mass Effect 1 last night ..and I was doing some random mission and I actually killed a Turian who was using a Lancer ( Avenger looking gun had M-7 on it ) and he looked like an Armiger Turian..basically a TGI looking MoFo.....It was weird because ..I don't remember Turians being enemies in Mass Effect 1 at all...ever....ME2 ( Blue Suns ) . Anyway's my original point in this entire conversation is Cabal:...She is a Turian. Turians shoot things. Let her be a Turian.
people keep trying to make power builds with her..She is a TURIAN.

But Megabeast had a really great power build for her. All 6 glitched too. You should search for it and try it (just don't take his advice on the pink pistol. Use Talon or other great ammo priming weapon).

Good point. Maybe I will just put on adrenaline mods and use the dodge. I honestly am not a huge fan of the whole poison idea... Biotic Focus is a nice cheaty power to use, though... and not a consumable.

I just checked it out. I will say, though, that my lack of skills with the Cabal are more l2p based. I should try this, too. Since I promoted recently I can play her as a weapons class or as a power class for the time being ![]()

The great thing about that build is how great it works with the double dash. First time I ever tried double dash on her too. Usually when I play her weapon focus, I went for the longest dash and only used it for travel/escape route.
Favourite - dunno. Used to be Cabal.
Most disappointing - Cabal. I tried pretty much every build and got pretty decent at solo running with her but I just can't find anything I like. If I wanted a tanky weapons build I'd pick the Ghost or TSol, if I wanted power melee I'd pick the Krolord, if I wanted speed melee I'd pick a Krogan with Adrenaline, melee GI or be really goofy and spec a melee Drellguard, if I wanted to teleport through walls I'd pick the Slayer and if I wanted upfront AOE I'd pick the Slayer or Batarian Soldier. Right now I go 4/6/6/6/4 (non range PS, speed focus, weapon damage passive) but I really wish there was a bit more oomph to her powers. Any wall that you can go through with non ranged PS, you can go through with backward dash. So i really should probably spec for 6 PS for tech bursts or whatever.
Weapons - idk. The usual.
Wishlist - I wish the obligatory femme turian DLC came out as:
Marksman
Some goofy nade power
Third power that no-one cares about because Marksman 2 gud
or maybe "combat biotic" vanguard with:
Some special Charge that has a really good gambler's charge evo or something like double dash or whatever but with less benefit than BC
Marksman
Barrier-type power
I think the TSent is much better with Incindiary Ammo and fairly good cooldown for fire explosions everywhere. Works great for on host phantoms too.
On host too, because working Turian Stability to better make use of headshot dps passives.
This next gif is just for you, TheTechnoTurian;

Now here's a towel;

Tried melee cabal again. It's ok sometimes but I ****** hate relying on Cyclonic Crutch. It's cool to get a kill sequence and the ability to melee through walls is actually pretty handy, but I'm still not convinced that the class offers a unique and stylish playstyle that doesn't take way too much effort given that you either need to throw a cyclonic on or have god tier 3d awareness and movement (I'm still stumped as to whether Geth Scanner or Grenades is better), and I really don't wanna turn her into an arc pistol bot like in whatever videos i made like 2 years ago with 4/6/6/6/4. I'd already tried the full on damage poison strike build a while back as well and wasn't really satisfied with that either.
It just really bugs me. The cabal has, by the numbers, the best heavy melee in the game, doing massive damage, covering a huge distance and going through walls, so that seems like the way to go that isn't just a half assed hybrid of the Havoc and BatSol, but the amount you have to sacrifice to get that seems like too much. You already lose duration biotic focus which means a hell of a lot more spamming of the 3 key instead of being able to use poison strike, and I tried going all-in with the melee evo at level 6 Focus but it was just complete ****. And of course the ridiculousness that is the Fitness tree evos. And Scanner vs Nades. And, being a full-on melee build, being shoehorned into shotgun omni blade.

I really don't care for the dizzying Tilt-a-whirl melee animation...regardless of damage. Thinking I'm done with the omniblade loadouts too.

I'll fully admit I don't know anything about playing the cabal and have never made the kit really "click" for me despite repeated attempts and basically do play her like a half ass havoc batsol hybrid, running around spamming biotic focus and gimp ballistic blades while doing 99.999% of my damage with whatever shotgun or sniper rifle pistol or shotgun pistol I happen to be carrying around.
yet then I put six points into poison strike and go to use it and have fun then see it does basically nothing worth all those points right before I get gg no re'd by bioware's netcode.

I've tried 6 poison strike before and to me it's so okay it's average. I remember having to try really hard to get 20 min in a gold solo with disruptor talon tech bursty stuff and then left it for a while and came back a few months later and got 18min with a 4/6/6/6/4 Arc Pistol bot with considerably less effort, and watching that video you could definitely go low 17:xx if anyone could be bothered trying.
Maybe there is a merit to having an Arc Pistol bot that can teleport through walls and has AOE stagger, but there's already a class who can teleport through walls, spam i-frames, inflict (grenade independent) AOE stagger and kill someone from across the map with a bit of a charge-up and his name is the N7 Slayer. And then maybe everything is hipster compared to the GI/BatSol/Fury/Slayer.
Well, I still believe the melee is the way to go since it's the one thing about the Cabal that is very distinct from anything else - ~4000 max damage (assuming max mods, martial artist and r5 melee/r6 i-frames Focus) with wallhack, very high range, no 25% armor penalty and decapitation for aboms, as well as a pretty good light melee combo at 1400 per hit. Too bad melee sucks in general, but especially against Geth.

I haven't even tried melee cabal. It looks good on paper until I remember using melee in this game requires doing something I hate, which is using melee in this game. Maybe I might try it if I can be arsed to play today or this weekend. It'll just end in colossal rage for me though.

It's actually really good if you can chain a bunch of enemies together. That is, assuming you don't get one bursted right out of charging. Which happens way too often for me to say that it's unconditionally good.
All melee classes are **** against Geth though. My first try was v Geth on Hydra...
Hmm, after trying out some more against other factions
The weapon synergy melee evo is handy but having it activated when you need it is annoying
Light melee combos are really fun against bosses who aren't looking at you
Melee + poison strike is pretty decent
Heavy melee-ing absolutely everything is a waste of time, only do it when necessary (enemy behind a wall or an enemy is on health and you want to get the weapon synergy & martial artist)
Heavy melee is glitchy as **** and doesn't like DLC maps or sloped surfaces
The existence of martial artist is annoying. Just give use the damn melee damage

this
this **** right here
I tried melee cabal for a game, got Goddess/Cerberus. I'm glad I was hosting because otherwise I would have discounted it as lag, but goddamn if that heavy melee absolutely ****** refuses to work even when you are directly facing and targeting a centurion 1mm in front of your face, and as the game went on it just got terrible to the point where I basically gave up on heavy melee altogether.
And I mostly needed the weapon synergy thing when I was taking down atlases and there were no small things on the field except Turrets.
Overall it was mediocre and I limped to 50 melee kills in w8 or w9. It worked better in my head before hand than in practice. Might have enjoyed it more had my pugs been a little less eager in their attempts to tank turrets, though.
All melee classes are **** against Geth though.

(as if I really need to add any words)
