I deployed the Havoc, and so have now played all the turians.  I've been playing him in Silver and having an absolute blast.  Charging into the fray vanguard-stylee is not generally my thing, so this is an entertaining break from the norm.

I've tried him with the Katana and Scimitar.  It's BSN heresy, I know, but I prefer the Scimitar.  I like using incendiary ammo so I can use Havoc Strike as a detonator.  A Havoc Strike firesplosion is a satisfying finishing move on an armoured unit.  Just gotta watch those Praetorians; if he goes too soon, he gets eaten...

Reactor is a fun map with him, flying all the way through the reactor to Strike something on the other side is just glorious.

If I were to try him in Gold, I'd be inclined to go assault rifle and adopt a more cautious approach.

Speaking of Gold, I played one Gold yesterday and had my first try with a Saber Tsol.  It was spectacular.  Who needs a dodge when nothing survives long enough to get close?

1.) So far I seem to be having the most luck with the Soldier and the Ghost. I like the Sentinel too. 

2.) The cabal. I don't get how to use her. I just poison strike, do no damage, and die. And this is on silver.

I read in another thread that you are supposed to have an Incendiary Reegar, Adreneline Mod, Geth Scanner.  Poison Strike for distance teleport, sidestep through walls the rest of the way, head straight to spawns and melt them all before the team even knows which way they are going.

 

And take up a good vantage point 100 feet away from all hack objectives, so that you have a clear view of who isn't helping and you can yell at them

ha got to admit turians are my favorite race! and all the classes are pretty good but cabal is used least often (well for me) 

 

and well for each i got goodish set up: 

turian ghost with M-99 saber, just overload the arses and loads of headshots! 

turian havoc with M-11 wraith/graal spike thrower, havoc strike, jump back and 2 powerful shots repeat (with occasional stimulant pack use)

turian saboteur with M-96 mattock/M-55 argus spamming grandes turrent and hack 

turian solider with M-76 revenant/N7 typhoon/Geth spitfire just tanking it with marksman power

turian sentinel with N7 valiant/phaeston/M-99 saber

 

all of them work very well (in my opinion)

I love the turians ! Best weapon race and sexy look

1.) The soldier : so much fun and so many possibilities. 

2.) The cabal. If it wasn't for the double dash (which is too much fun) i wouldn't use her at all. I feel that all her powers are some sort of gimped version other powers.

3.) 

• Soldier : Of course I like hurricane/tempest/scoped talon , but my favourites are the phaeston for glorious roleplay and the claymore because I feel that within every turian there is a sniper who likes calibrating big guns.
• Havoc : crusaider or raider
• Sentinel : arc pistol, argus, executionner, PPR, harrier, lancer, raider...
• Ghost, in this order : Javelin, harrier, spitfire, saber.
• Cabal : venom or acolyte + pyranha

My favourite is the Turian Soldier, he's such a readily accessible character (Uncommon), who can tear some major new ones in the enemies.

 

As to how I use them (The most interesting part):   First I take them out for a meal.... oh...

 

 - Trevor Turian Soldier:

 

Headshot/RateOfFire Marksman, RadiusDebuff Proxy, Weapon Damage/Headshots, All Shields.

Eagle Main, Hurricane/Tempest Sidearm.

Eagle gets Heavy Barrel and Extended Magazine. Tempest gets Extended Barrel and Extended Magazine. Hurricane gets Extended Magazine and Heat Sink.

Always take AP IV, Turians have to school those PUGs on Penetration

Pistol Rail Amp or Targetting VI, Adrenaline Mod or Cyclonic Mod, Barrage or Geth Scanner Gear.

Shoot for the head. Switch to sidearm if Eagle runs out of ammo.

Guy's Brother

 

 - Harry the Turian Havoc:

 

Melee and Power damage in everything.

Slam them from behind and drive your omnitool into them.

Over, and Over again.

Then shoot your gun during escorts.

(Uses Omnibladed Discpile, and Eagle)

 

 - Guy the Turian Sentinel:

 

First Turian I got, so I have a lot of love for the guy that let me play Silver.

I took my THavoc into Gold (Vancouver/Cerberus) for the first time this evening.  Gave him the Wraith and tried to play a bit more carefully than I would in Silver, a bit more Cryo Blasting and a bit less Havoc Striking.  Got at least one Phantom with Havoc Strike though, which was fun.

 

I'm a dreadful scrub so was living on stimpacks during wave 11.  Fun game, though, I will play him in Gold again.

 

I think that the flying turian might actually be my favourite multiplayer turian.  Strange how things work out, I didn't expect he would be.

More Dakka-Dakka      tried using the revenant on the Havoc for the 1st time...was really fun

 

dusted off the TGI last night to finish off PPR challenge points..with his cloak & weapon passives..there actually is no ramp up time on the PPR..insta-lazer of death

 

I am going to try AR's I have never tried before on both the Havoc & TGI...gotta get their extraction CP's done..am going to try the Vindicator ( yeah, I said it ) & Argus

I played THavoc in a Gold pug this morning.  I got a bit careless so he did get hugged by Banshees a couple of times, but hey, who can resist hugging an awesome guy like him?

Turian Sabo. Biggest troll in ME3MP and Geoff Overlord.

 

I love this dude, toss in the turret for flame to keep mooks busy, launch two split Homing Grenades, and Sabotage groups for stagger, debuff, and wide area explosions. He's great with nearly all shotguns, Falcon, Krysae (my fave) and Adas. No kit feels so rewarding to maximize seeing how he doesn't have any OP powers or skills and everytime I see Geth Hunter [Geth Pyro}, I smile.

I'm starting to consider Armiger Armour an OP power all it's own.

 

But I agree, Sabo is great. I was using Lancer on him in plats. Throw turret, back leap once. Grenade the flame primed units while you're leaping back, sabo next CD, and mop up with aimed lancer shots. Rinse repeat. Have to give up ground and be hyper-aware of your 6 though.

Hi, new replier to answer in your fab Turian thread. All of this is from a reasonably n00b point-of-view.

 

1.) My favourite Turians are the Sentinel (in a sexy armour colour I call 'Nihlus Red'), whom I already tested on husband's account. And surprisingly the Cabal - She actually was the first rare in my starter gift pack. So I had to learn to use her, still learning, mind. I like how she zips through the maps, then zaps the enemies with poison. Haven't tried her on Gold yet, but see disclaimer above. So time will tell.

 

2.) Least favourite is the Havoc so far, I'm not a jet-packing kind of a girl. The friggin' OmniButton on lolPS3 gets me into enough trouble even without rocketing. So far he's also the least used, as he doesn't exist in my character list yet. My very own account is about 1 week old.

 

3.) Weapons: playing on my husband's account: whatever feels great. Or now on mine: whatever I manage to get my hands on! (See above, need more guns).

 

Alternate answer to 1.): My favourite Turian is the one I had an...interesting dream about a few weeks ago; was called Garrus but apparently sounded like Nihlus.   And hubby keeps teasing me about that/rolling his eyes ("Are you looking at Turians online again?"), after I mentioned this to him, as I thought it was amusing.
