Tried out the Turian soldier with the Collector rifle today because I was fed up of being so squishy with the Quarian Marksman. It was great, even on gold (which I normally suck at with characters I've never really played before). Though I do wish he could dodge geth rockets and siege pulses.

For a weapon like the CAR, I'd almost say the TSent would be better.  The CAR is accurate enough that you don't really need Marksman if you ADS, and it will kill stuff a whole lot faster if you strip their shields first with Overload.  The TSol might be better if you're able to get a constant stream of headshots, but I'm not that good.

I use the CAR on the TSent as well, as I've had quite bad luck with the store when it comes to ARs and I've only put about 110 hours into the game so I haven't really unlocked any better ARs than the CAR so I literally have to use it on all my AR characters.

Do you think I could use the Revenant for the TSol, or should I stick with the Collector rifle? Considering I've put all the talent points from Marksman and the passives into recoil reduction, which is the biggest drawback of the Revenant, it should be alright I'm thinking.

TTT will be happy to know that I gave the Saboteur another try and have realized he's decent, and that the inherent problem is that I'm a worthless scrub.

Never forget what you are, scrub, the rest of the community will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.

I may or may not have plagiarized here.

I can't think of a better class for the Revenant than the TSol.  It's actually a pretty powerful gun, just plagued by accuracy and stability issues, which the TSol fixes (as you said).

I have made it work on other classes by using the AR recoil damper, but you have to use hard cover or the scope to improve the accuracy at all, neither of which is ideal.

EDIT:  BTW, if you have the Geth Engineer, I think the Phaeston works pretty well on him with Incendiary Ammo.  You know, if you're looking for other AR builds for light manifests.

Try the collector sniper rifle on the Tsent if you have it. Tap fire it and the dps is great, rivaling even the harrier. You might need to quick scope a lot more in cqc because of the sniper rifle hipfire penalty but the high damage and not having to look for ammo kinda makes up for it. Just remember to always tap fire it

Back when I first got the TGI, I used the Revenant on him (for AR Mastery completion). Ill-advised, but pretty fun imo. Spray and pray at its finest. :)

It can also be spelled scrubiness. Themoreyouknow.gif

:P

Sure it's a word and that peril of wisdom was something I totally came up with, not G.R.R.M. I also have not been re-reading the A.S.O.I.A.F series lately.

I've also become aware of the fact that Pokemon Go has no Turians to catch in it. #Devastated

Latest favourite, beautiful Turian Sentinel with a javelin.

Give him a geth scanner and one shot all the mooks through the floor, walls, pillars, across the map. All of them. EVERYWHERE!

Lately, I've been giving a lot of love to Tsent/Saber combo. It's not as good as it could be... mainly because I'm a filthy scrub and couldn't shot properly to save my life... which I often can't :P

But damn if it isn't an awesome combo! Doesn't get much more badass than Tsent with a Saber.

Let's have a look at the prominent Turians in these games.

Garrus, 2nd fiddle, failed C-sec agent, failed leader of a merc group, failed arc angel, can't find Fade on his own.

Turian "air quote" council member

Rude Turian ambassador

Saren, weak willed traitor

Nihlus, hubrisitic dummy killed by weak willed traitor.

Lorik quin, corrupt businessman, easily threatened and swayed.

Drunk feeble love sick Turian general in Choras Den

Numerous feeble Trurians on palaven that need rescuing

Ladies man Turian that can't even close the deal with a Quarian in a bar  (she would rather 'take a break from dating')

Incompetent Turians on Tuchuncka trying to find a bomb the turians planted there years ago.

And great turian heros are!!!! ....................  (crickets)

Let's have a look at prominent Salarians!

-Silent Step - A Legend who lives on in rousing pep speeches

-Captain Kirrahe - A Living Legend who gives rousing pep speeches

-Councilor Valern - Citadel Council member with much apparent authority

-Administrator Rannadril Ghan Swa Fulsoom Karaten Narr Eadi Bel Anoleis - When Commander Shepard asks him a favor, tells him he's a nobody and to stuff off.

-Marab at the Citadel's Saronis Applications Store - While a C-Sec investigation is going on right outside his door, complete with a shouting match between a Volus, a Quarian, and Commander Shepard over a presumably stolen credit chit, sits smugly in his shop and lets the Quarian take the blame.  When found out, casually hands it over and quips  "Oh yeah, he left it here", and THEN proceeds to ask for an ENDORSEMENT!  Pretty ballsy.

-Various miscelleneous NPCs successfully negotiating reproduction contracts.

-Maelon - Scientist who nearly succeeds in creating a Genophage cure, would have if not stopped by Mordin

-Mordin - Scientist who finishes the Genophage cure, and is happy to die distributing it

-Dalatrass Linron - Cloaca Masticator Extraordinaire, but a hero to some obviously

-STG - Created the Venom Shotgun over morning coffee, came back after lunch to create the Genophage, went home that evening for a bukkake party.  Meanwhile Turians were slapping a scope on a grenade launcher and calling it a sniper rifle

Has to be Salarians.  Turians would get it wrong.

Here's a reegar plat solo by N7-Gerbil, a gold solo with PPR by capn233, and here's me being crap (was going for 50 tech kills instead of a weapons based gameplay).  There aren't that many recent turian havoc gameplay videos, really.

I don't understand how Havoc strike is supposed to work.  That being said, I haven't used this kit ever.

Your plat solo is juuuuust amazing to me, Techno Turian! :o

I somehow missed the invitation to the latter part of that.

Dude, you forgot the 'Please don't touch that' guy on Sur'Kesh - he's my favourite NPC in the entire trilogy.

OT, had a triple TGI match last night. Gotta say when we went hunting in packs it was pretty impressive and possibly even fun!

The Fat Turian Soldier: Making the post-nerf Krysae Sniper Rifle just about bearable since 2012.

Seriously though, he does. I had to clutch a wave 10 hack against Cerberus yesterday on White - mid-level opposite the LZ. I was able to take hard cover in the tiny corner of the circle just inside the doorway at the bottom of the stairs, and keep pretty much everything at bay without ever leaving the circle. It took all my missiles too, but it was either that or kiting, and I prefer to tough it out when the timer is counting down at its slowest, and that spot is pretty perfect for it. But so is the gun. Turians. They're good, I guess.  :D

Been awhile since I've TSentinal. That because Commando takes forever (seriously, 200 waves with 8 kits total? BioWare, please). Anyway, just did TSent with the Executioner and it was good.

Don't forget:

Corrupt turian Warden Kuril running extortion racket. Is so retarded that he not only tries to falsely imprison Commander Shepard, but does it while their heavily armed, fully crewed Frigate is still sitting outside his shitty prison ship.

Drunk VIP section Afterlife turian striking out with asari stripper and getting beat up.

Other Afterlife turians thinking they're badasses sitting on a couch and both getting beat up.

Fist's skull faced turian goon who can't even intimidate an outnumbered quarian teenager into handing over her MP3 player.

Playable turian test subject who got rekt by a Cerberus Engineer on w11 (Mass Effect Infiltrator is a game too)

Now let's move outside the games:

Turians humiliated in a battle by primitive hewmons fumbling with babbys first Mass Relay

Turians who bring machine guns to a knife fight yet still lose to the Cereal Killer.

Professional turian "assassin" Jacobus gets the "ass" part of his profession handed back to him by same quarian teenager above

Probably more but I forget most of the derps when turians are involved because it all blurs together in a sea of fail
