No, it´s not funny. They were simply assbutts. Ones that probably didn´t bother to try and utilize Executioner to have fun with.

True. But, ironically, is also one of the few guns in ME3MP that actually does more damage than a Nerf gun.

I threw my krogan soldier into a gold match against reapers in ghost, and two guys with mics laughed at me for using an executioner pistol. I've always loved this gun, and my soldier is built for power damage and fire explosions (6/6/6/5/3), so when I can hold a relatively powerful and versatile gun that has a power amplifier and leaves me with 200% cooldown, I don't know why that would be laughable. It's less insulting than confusing. I was third in score and close behind the second, and though I went down a few times I extracted.

Now, at the time I hadn't even managed to get a pistol barrel, nor the power amplifier, though I have them now, but I doubt they noticed. The strategy is simple: fire, carnage, reload, all day every day. If there's a group of enemies or one or more bosses, throw an inferno grenade and explode all of the things. It works really well at any range. On silver carnage and the executioner each one shot basic troopers, and gold too with decent consumables. I even have him in red and black armor and imagine him as a blood pack arsonist of some kind.

It's been a few days, but the confusion is still nagging me. Is this funny?

No not really, the only thing "funny" would be a Krogan using something other than a shotgun. But at least its a Blood Pack weapon, so its better than using a sissy Acolyte or something on him. But I'd imagine the best explanation here is that those other players were being idiots. Nothing wrong with Executioner (I like it on Vorcha, because Blood Pack).

Those dudes clearly need an executioner to the brain. It's really stupid when someone tells you that you're not playing a character right. I mean, we all have our own e-peen ways, but we'll respect a build or a playstyle. There's really no "one way" to play a kit, it's just that some builds are just more effective than most.

They're jerks. Play what you want and how you want. And personally like using my powers, I think it's more fun that just bullets all the time. I too equip the Executioner Pistol on a lot of kits because it packs a punch and keeps the recharge low. Haters to the left.

i like to use it on my cabal and one time i managed to kill 3 cannibals with one headshot from it. it gave me boner.

How is a Krogan soldier supposed to find time to fire a weapon? It would take time away from smacking things in the face with it.

I just think it's funny seeing a Krogan using a pistol.  But the Executioner is a beast, I really like it.

I've played that setup on the KroSol before and it's not laughable.  Not the best choice (arguably), but a very good one on its own merits, plus as several people have mentioned it's a Blood Pack weapon, on a Blood Pack character.  I actually rather like when people play races with their associated weaponry, and themed team games (all Geth or Asari, for example).  It's way more fun than slapping a Harrier or Reegar on everything.

Ha, who cares what they think. I've had people react when they see I'm a melee Shadow in platinum or complain that my Juggy isn't meleeing everything, etc. Nothing wrong with the executioner, they just need to expand their loadouts.

the executioner is a blood pack weapon isnt it? cant blame a krogan wanting to try something new and pistol whipping rather than bludgeoning with their weapon. I am sure he will go back to the bigger cudgel, but variety is the spice of life.

I must admit imagining a big huge macho Krogan using a dainty pistol is quite funny indeed, but as others have said, still a valid choice. Lore wise it would make me lol but playing wise hell no. I don't like mucking up my cooldowns on my characters either- I like using the powers to the fullest.

To be fair, the Executioner is about as far from dainty as can be.

Be grateful that it is compulsory to wear pants in MP, else male krogan would be using his biological pistol. The genophage may have prevented it from going full-auto, but it would still be deadly in short-burst.

The Executioner is the best gun in the game.

 

Yep, on an AA with Stasis and a CTS it is quite hilarious.

 

Freeze enemy with Stasis...STOP....Hammer time.

Next time just turn up with a Sniper Rifle and give them something genuine to laugh at!    

 

Doing this while also topping the score board is one of the most satisfying things in the game

O boy!!! You gave me agreat idea!!! For 2 days I am searching a way to complete the "Gun Slinger" challange.

This gun might do the trick on the krogan soldier.
