[Celtic Latino]

So to rationalize the delay to November 18 (or maybe I just wanted to put my fun topic idea out there), I realized that the Inquisitor is still out on break from the Fade. While he/she is gone, the Inquisition opened up a brand new diner.

 

Using the 12 companions/advisors (and other Dragon Age companions/characters, even if they aren't in Inquisition), its up to you to design your Inquisition diner as templars, mages, grey wardens, Venatori, and all others stop for a bite to eat before resuming their Dragon Age duties. They have to eat too! Make your diner as crazy, vexing, or realistically (as Dragon Age gets) feasible. Its your Inquisition, your diner!

Name: The Golden City Diner

 

Managers: Josephine and Sten (Josie for talking to angry customers, Sten for keeping the staff on task)

 

Hosts: Morrigan and Velanna, for maximum sass. Substitute crew: Isabela and Ariane.

 

Waitstaff: Zevran, Bodahn, Varric, Sigrun (the personable, smiling storytellers)

 

Cooks: Nathaniel, Wynne, Flemeth, Anders (balance of experience and youthful improvisation)

 

Busboy: Sandal, Finn

 

Bartender: Leliana and Oghren (the more bawdy storytellers of the lot, and personable in their own ways)

 

Notable dishes: Hmmmm, food's tough, so I'll stick with drinks.

 

The Emissary's Hex (a screwdriver heavy on the vodka, but it still sneaks up on you)

Archdemon's Breath (made with more than a few shots of Jaegermeister, for the truly adventurous. Other ingredients a trade secret)

The War Cry (Two shots Jack, splash of Coke and a garnish of Oghren's choosing)

Backstab (Gin, more gin and then enough lemon liqueur to make sure you don't taste the gin until it's too late)

Slaying Arrow (Whiskey, Rum, Sambucca, Vodka, Orange juice, pineapple juice. In Oghren's words, "If this thing doesn't knock you on your ass, I'm payin' for it.")

Asha'bellanar (Flemeth won't tell anyone what goes into this (she designed it), but everyone seems to like it)

Manager(s) on Duty :Cassandra and The Arishok  to keep everyone on line 

 

Host (1-2 characters): Isabela and Cullen Eye candy 

 

Waitstaff (3-4 characters): Zervan, Dorian , Finn and Bethany 

 

Cooks (up to 3 characters): Solas ,Morrigan and Velanna i just think elfs are good cooks 

 

Busboy/Busgirl (up to 2 characters):Alistair and Sten 

 

Bartender (optional if your Inquisition serves alcohol, up to 2 characters): Varric have a story with every drink he sells. Oghren (its Oghren) Dwarfs they know how to drink 

 

Menu Items : BBQ nug bathed in Paragon ale freshly imported from orzammar then loathed in BBq sauces, Smoked Bronto meat, Drake lung and Gland,  giant spider leg  

and  Fluffy Mackerel Pudding 

Drinks: High Dragon spit guaranteed to knock you on you butt don't want to know what's inside 

Golem sprite  ( Shot of Jack and mix of  tequila  and some dusters dusk 

The Magister: Dorian favorite ( Shot of Jack Fruit punch Vodka and ice) in Oghren words only for lightweights

finally the Black City( basically Everclear of the Dragon age world)

Name: Dragon's Roost

 

Manager on duty: Sten (if the rest of the staff disagrees he says no)

 

Hosts:  Cassandra (she was waiting tables but had a tendency to pin the napkins in place with the cutlery) and Leliana,  who's bardic training allows her to assess the situation and be a charming host to all her customers regardless of their backgrounds

 

Waitstaff:  Merrill when she doesn't mix up the orders, Bodahn, who's signature greeting is "If there's anything you need, please, please tell me," and Sigrun (who always gets the most tips because she's so perky)

 

Cooks:  Alistair (until they sent him to wash dishes for charring the rabbit again), then Wynne and Orana took over.  Sometimes the garnishes are a bit elaborate but the soup's out of this world.

 

Bus staff:  Zev and Isabela because they're good at spotting things customers left behind.  They usually remember to return them.

 

Bartender:  Oghren until it started hurting profits, then Sandal, since crafting a great cocktail is a form of enchantment

 

Menu:  Ferelden lamb and pea stew - Orlesian lamb and baby peas simmered to perfection in a rich wine broth accompanied by tiny biscuits

 

            Shale's chicken scallopini - pounded chicken cutlets in a garllic and lemon sauce served with pasta and sarcasm

             

            Antivan fish chowder - hearty chunks of tender flesh, poached in a broth of wine and the tears of jealous husbands

 

            ham a la Chateau Haine - tastes of dispair, and pineapple

         

            try the cheese board -- renowned throughout Thedas

Manager(s) on Duty (1-2 characters): Meredith and Anders: These two will kill each other but hey, they both get results and Meredith will keep the business in line.

 

Host (1-2 characters): Flemeth and Celene (They'll be very inviting)

 

Waitstaff (3-4 characters): Morrigan (don't ****** her off), Bethany(she offers a very nice "look" to wet the appetite), Velanna(don't even bother her if you are human) and Finn (Very nice and orderly, just gets pushed around a lot)

 

Cooks (up to 3 characters): Iron Bull, Zevran(don't eat what he's making) and Dorian

 

Busboy/Busgirl (up to 2 characters): Alistair and Sera

Bethany - Agreeable, personable, and friendly

Merrill - Because she won't get lost if she only has to stay in front, and she's always very pleasant to people.

 

Waitstaff (3-4 characters):

Leliana - Because waitresses always sneak up on you at a moments notice

Cullen - Good at handling small crowds, gives the fangirls something to swoon over while they wait

Isabela - If anyone can handle a crowd, it's Isabela

Nathaniel Howe - Good with snark and a good joke

 

Cooks (up to 3 characters):

Alistair - With so many Fereldans, he knows how to cook Fereldan food, even if it is slop
Velanna - She had to have her clan subside in the Wilds, so she's bound to know a lot about foods. Plus, nature magic makes anything taste better
Cassandra - Should have a very refined palate

 

Busboy/Busgirl (up to 2 characters):

Carver - Because he's strong enough, and he always complains anyway

Sten - Because it's all I trust him to run

 

Bartender (optional if your Inquisition serves alcohol, up to 2 characters):

Zevran - If anyone can manage a bar and it's patrons, getting good tips out of it, it's him

Anora - Because it would be hilarious

My 'Worst Possible Diner Ever'

 

Diner Name- The Templar's Triumph

 

Managers on Duty:

-Unmarried Aveline- Just ask Donnic if Hawke didn't do/refused Aveline's romance-arc sidequest in DA2. Despite her extreme strictness and Donnic's complaint, she manages to keep everyone in order.

-Meredith- Mages aren't the only people she happens to imprison. Just ask the employees who work for her.

 

Hosts:

-Anders- Anders having to work for Meredith would probably be one of the most sore, angry, whiny, complaining workers there is. Groans every time he's got to seat someone and adds some extra b*tchitude if its a group of templars who need a table.

-Arishok- "Table for 10 please"- NO!!!! "Can we get a booth please?"- The Qun demands you sit in the middle...

 

Waitstaff:

-Morrigan- In all her snarky, antisocial, less than graceful demeanor, of course.

-Velanna- Better hope you're not a shem if you actually want service.

-Grey Warden Bethany- Nothing worse than a bitter waitress who is only trying to pass the time until her Calling

-Shayle- Attitude burger with an extra side of verbal snipes as she takes your order

 

Cooks:

-Carver- Too busy complaining about being in Hawke's shadow to see if that steak is burnt

-Alistair- Too incompetent to take proper leadership in the back. Probably spends half the time arguing with Carver over who has to filet the mignon

-Sandal- "Table 38 needs a bacon cheeseburger, a baked potato and corn."- Enchantment?

 

Busboy/Busgirl:

-Shianni- Gives the shems mean looks as she wipes down your table. Careful she doesn't spray your food while you're not looking.

-Jowan- Insists those ketchup stains are part of the decor...

 

Bartenders:

-Sebastian- Don't expect to get an alcoholic drink if he's on duty...

-Isabela- Hoards all the booze to herself...

Managers: Cullen and the Shayle.
Cullen for his sword and shield and and willingness to reason.
Shayle willing to walk over(literally) anyone should they become hostile or unreasonable.

Hosts(ess): Anora and Morrigan.

Waitstaff: Sigrun is just too cute and friendly.
Herren is always willing to haggle.
Varric

Cooks: Flemeth, Wade and Nathaniel
Wade would create the most Fantastically Fantastical entrée, desserts and delights this side of Thedas.
Nathaniel having spent many years in the Free Marches handles whatever soups and anything else that needs preparing (much to Wade's chagrin).
Flemth is actually the lead chef but is off plotting somewhere. .. She usually prepares seafood.

Busboy: Cole and Fenris

Bartenders: Isabela and Leliana

Drinks: Red Jenny Backbiter (your basic red devil)
Bronto Buster (Jager bomb)
Desire Demon's Crush (Frankenstein's Monster)
House specials: Sautéed Nug with Deep Mushroom Soup
Draketail with red potatoes and fire gland sauce.

Managers:

Morrigan- Let's face it, she can... "motivate" people. She also helped keep Alistair in check.

Cullen- He knows how to handle things, he could reduce ticket times extremely fast. Besides, him and Morrigan could be a good team if they got over their differences. Or I just assign them different shifts.

 

Hosts:

Merrill- Honestly, I think this is the only place she wouldn't cry and could actually handle.

Anora- As annoying and conniving as she comes across to me, she has the ability to have a certain decorum for situations.

 

Waitstaff:

Duncan- He could take the orders and convince you to take the most expensive. Or invoke the Right of Consumption....

Leliana- Can deal with people, as long as people can understand her accent.

Dorian- I think he could easily take food orders and make people feel at ease.

Alistair- As... unique... as Alistair is, he could do the work, probably would work well with customers with children. Besides, Morrigan is his manager.

 

Cooks:

Sandal- HE CAN ENCHANT  THE FOOD!!!

Zevran- This guy just seems to have cooking skills. Specialty: Latin

Vivienne- Magical food from Orlais

 

Busboys/girsl:

Cole- He couldn't do anything else.

Anders- I'd rather him break a plate than a Chantry.

 

Bartenders:

Varric- Give him a stool, he'll be fine. Can easily be the head bartender. Also, I don't trust Oghren around booze.

Isabela- Tips. Lots of tips. No not that kind.

 

Food (not the entire menu, just the best):

Sera- If Iron Bull wants to throw her, he'll have to come over the bartop to do it. Besides, those flips she does, easily could convert to mixing drinks.

 

Server(1):

Leliana- Can deal with people, as long as people can understand her accent.

 

Cooks (2):

Vivienne- She could make quick, easy and delicious stuff.

Zevran- Same as above.

 

Entertainment (Up to 2):

Varric- 1st of the dueling DJs, head entertainer. He'd work well at the bar, but I'd rather him run music in the bar.

Shale- Part time DJ. Doubles as Bouncer when not DJing. You know you want to see Shale wearing headphones and working the turntables. Don't lie.

 

Bouncers (4)

Shale- When not DJing.

Arishok- Don't mess with him.

Sten- To the kids trying to sneak into the bars with fake IDs: "No."

Iron Bull- He'd throw any rabble rousers out.... MAYHEM throws.
