Hello,

I'm trying to change the model of femshep with N7 Fury from Earth DLC. I've found on the internet a premade .udk file for the  Fury mesh, and some .tga files for textures. i've manged to change the mesh of femshep by importing the .udk to biog_hmf_arm_shep_r MDL (tried on Inferno armor FBDe and Reckoner Knight armor FBDb).

I converted the tga files to .dds files using DirectX SDK and Adobe PS with Nvidia Plugin. (diff file to DX1 format, norm file to V8U8 format, spec file to DX5 format).

This is what  i have obtained so far:

Somehow the texture messed up. The Reckon Knight version (pictures) has a blueish hue, and the Inferno armor has a yellowish hue.

Can someone please clariffy what am i doing wrong, what am i missing? I've seen some pictores with N7 Fury model on a singleplayer character on the web, so i gues it is possible to  mod Earth DLC characters to singleplayer sheps.

Did a little more research, and found out that the orange or blue texture glow occures when replacing Shepard armor specs. Thanks to http://mods.girlplaysgame.com/?p=80 FAQ the exact solution is given:

Q.  How exactly do you get rid of the orange glow on armor specs, like the Defender armor (FBDa)?
A.  Here’s what I do – no idea if it’s right, but it seems to work:  Make a new layer in Photoshop on top of the diff texture.  Paint it orange/red (try #ff3c00).  Set the layer to Multiply or Darken.  Flatten the layers.  It should look orange (multiply) or orange and green (darken).  Check the Channels > Alpha Channel – make sure the alpha channel is black.  Now save the image as a spec file (.dds – DXT5 mode).  It should now get rid of the orange glow!

Now i have to figure out how to mod N7 Fury headgear, or if its not possible, to remove shepards hair without using another head visor with HideHair.

A far as i can tell, the earth dlc characters texture has the head, but i can't find the mesh file and the body mesh doesn't have the mask by default.

Anybody have an idea on how to get this mask?

If you read my link, you'd have known why this happens and how to solve it, not just use a makeshift solution. Your party though, do what you will.

So far i managed to replace the Reckoner Knight helmet (the armor used for texture modding) with the Kuwashii Visor, so that i can benefit from HideHair and HasBreather conditions. This way the hair doesn't clip anymore with the hood , and when i'm in a no atmosphere zone the default n7 helmet doesn't pop up anymore.

The .upk file that i used for the skeletal mesh already had the helmet removed. I noticed that the extracted MDL.psk file from the n7 fury .pcc found in the Earth dlc has the helmet attached to the rest of the body, and the textures contains both the body and helm parts. But when i try to import the .psk with the helm, somehow the textures and the shadows are messed up real bad, differently from the texture problem described in the OP.
