Why no DA Keep leaks?

I am not going to lie. It is a bit irking that nobody has leaked anything. I remember during the SWTOR betas there were plenty of video leaks. There was even a website dedicated towards it. With this, nothing.

Its irking that people aren't breaking their NDA?  Weird

I'll laugh if they make a note of the people who are upset/think its weird there aren't any leaks and make sure they don't give them keep beta access.

It's kind of sad that not breaking NDA is considered unusual or bad   :D

Shows what a good community we have and how stuffed up the rest of the gaming world is.

I'd be horrified if there were DA Keep leaks. A breach of trust is to be despised. I'm sure the NDA is pretty robust, anyway.

I am not going to act like some saint. At least I am honest and I know i speak for a lot of people when I say this but I would not mind running into leaks regarding the keep. Maybe you will stay away from leaks like a nun and porn sites, but I know there is a HUGE number of people who would love to read leaks whether it is text, screenshots or videos.

Tough. If you want info, go watch the youtube videos about the keep.

As for Anders...  which death are you talking about?  And if you're talking about the one from Awakening, does it really matter?  0o  You don't see him die in that, it's only something you read about in the epilogue.

Sorry, i wrote that too quickly. I guess Anders' explanation for surviving the battle in Awakening makes sense. On the other hand, if you send him to the Circle instead of recruiting him into the Wardens... Maybe it'll be mandatory to recruit him in the Keep.

EA have probably taken the testers families hostage.

The people we choose, are being respectful of the rules, is that really so hard to believe?

Without wanting to cross my own NDA, I will say from personal experience with closed public Beta in this age of the Social Media Attention ******, I am shocked there isn't a fully loaded DA:Keep wiki right now. The project I'm thinking of had livestreams and let's plays up within an hour of the Beta Codes being sent out.

And we love you for it.  :) Most of us, save the OP, just want to be one of your number.

Its information that they have that you dont, therefore there is an allusion (or maybe its actual) of power over you.

Moreover it is information that you want, that gives them more power.

Power is something that can be used.  So how exactly can they use this power in any form?  NDA = powerless

Frankly, I'm so afraid of accidentally breaking NDA that I'm purposely avoiding saying anything about the Keep at all, even things that I'm 99% sure have already been confirmed by a dev.

Nah. I take this news as 'if we leak this no more betas ever'. People already on their shortlist are also more likely to get invitations to other betas for EA/BioWare. So they keep their mouths shut.

I'm glad I wasn't picked. I'd be terrible. I'd be on some 'let my people go' sh!t and leak it to the planet.

With games and online features like the Keep being more connected to your online identity I could see that online perma-bans, particularly EA-wide, might be quite a powerful disincentive.  :police:

Though I'd prefer to believe that most have not leaked because they were asked not to.

Powerrr! Pooowwweeerrrr! (I wants it)

Seriously though, I don't understand why there is a need for NDA. There are no story spoilers to worry about, unless you never played the last games I guess.

but its their choice, and whoever is in it are perfectly justified in keeping the NDA they agreed to

Seriously, why have none of the beta testers leaked any information or screenshots of the keep yet? Have they been threatened with violence?

- Percieved likelihood of the consequences and their severity vs potential gains in disclosing.

- Group size vs prevalence of defection in society.

I'd imagine both of those are in favour of non-disclosure in this case.

There were few if any real leaks for Sins of a Solar Empire II, and that was a total train wreck. So... there's precedent of people keeping quiet even under, hopefully, greater incentive to defect than is the case here.

-shrug-

Maybe there's even a cultural aspect to the sort of people who gravitate to towards certain types of games.

It doesn't seem particularly odd to me that people would keep their mouths shut.

NDA = possibility of consequences for exercising power, (the ability to get a reaction out of people that they desire.)

For that purpose any leak could be faked.  Perhaps a "reaction video" while using the Keep.  Oh wait, those can be faked too.

I'm thinking it's one of two things - they have the phylacteries of all the beta testers and can use them to trace the sources of any leaks, or.....

what Bryan said.

BTW - one of my favorite things coming out of the delay is that I can identify Bryan's humor and his posts without even seeing his avatar...love me some dry wit ;)

Not agreeing with him but I don't think it was a dumb question.

Everything gets leaked nowadays, especially when its users are people from the internet. The OP was merely asking why the Keep hasn't been subjected to this seemingly guaranteed leak.

It speaks well of those who were picked :)

Also...The fact that he asked it on the BioWare forum goes to show he's not being entirely serious either. I found it funny.

Perhaps they have been, just not in the form of a public forum post on BioWare's social site, which would be quite moronic. Or perhaps it's a matter of them actually keeping their word, which I would hope is the case. I know I would *nudge nudge*.
