I remember the last time I used the Vindicator in a ME2 playthrough sometime last year, I was playing an Engineer and could fire the Vindicator much like the Tempest. Aka fire a nearly uninterrupted stream of bullets.

This time I'm playing a Soldier and can only do burst -long pause- burst.

Am I remembering things wrong or is my trigger finger to slow or out of sync or why can't I get a sustained ROF anymore?

When the Soldier is in AR, feathering the trigger takes a lot longer, just as every other weapon except the Mattock. The percieved rof slows down, although in real time I am sure the rof is the same.

Also, I think you must be referring to the Shuriken SMG. The Tempest is not a burst fire weapon. It is a sustained fire weapon.

Vindicator has a pause between bursts that can't be overridden.  As cap and gown says, the Shuriken is the burst gun with basically no minimum refire time.

I like the Mattock, even though its a single-shot per click. I find that burst-pause "feature" of the Vindicator to be kind of annoying. If I'm playing a soldier though, the Revenant is kinda awesome. I was thinking about using that + Marksman as a BP for a soldier shep in ME3.

No you didn't.

That how it has always worked :P

You're remembering things wrong,

It's easy to misunderstand the Shuriken for an assault rifle

Ahh, so faulty memory and trigger finger out of sync.

I could have sworn that the ME2 Vindicator also had the double-tap feature, like the Shuriken does. :?

Thanks for responding everyone!

I believe in the description for the gun, it says you can do it. Of course, I think it also says it fires a 5-round burst, but maybe my memory is hazy.

That being said, I think I have double-tapped the vindicator before, but only a couple of times. Maybe it was glitch.

The minimum refire time for the Vindicator was reduced in ME3, although the rate of fire was increased.  So in ME3 each burst takes a longer amount of time, but you can fire each burst closer together.  The ME2 Vindicator essentially has a 0.625s min refire time w/ 900rpm rate of fire during the burst.

I liked the Vindicator in ME2. I liked it better than the Revenant actually.

Well, until I got the Mattock.
