When settling down to a Mass Effect session (or heck, any game you so choose) what do you like to have around the couch/table to enhance your experience. Personally, I need a beverage. If I'm getting in some Saturday/Sunday morning time with Shep & co, I've got my coffee ready to fuel my adventures. After work, I like a nice cold beer in a mug next to my keyboard. Late at night, a neat single malt scotch or Irish whiskey on the rocks goes splendidly.

 

Regretfully I occasionally smoke, and nothing goes well with the downtime segments of conversations and cutscenes like your favorite drink and a smoke. Not much of an eater when I game, but licorice or other mild candy goes well. Chips and peanuts not so much due to the grease.

Ya, I usually play with beer or a glass(bottle) of red wine at night.

 

In the mornings or afternoons I have a mat for the non-combat parts are a pretty good time to stretch or roll out.

I have a large telescoping floor fan that's on 24/7 due to the heat. Does that count?

 

Besides that, I keep a 2 liter bottle of ice cold water nearby at all times. I took Garrus advice in ME1 very seriously.

Sure anything goes, and yes water goes without saying. I'll have a glass of water standing by the coffee or booze as well.

I have a baby cousin who I looked after at the behest of my aunt and uncle (who are only about 10 years older than me), and she's a cute little thing, 4 years old right?

 

Her first words to her parents when they picked her up was "(embarrassing family nickname redacted) drinks a lot and cusses a lot."

 

Suffice to say, I haven't babysat in a while.

Coffee and smokes must be on hand at all times, also some kind of soft drink or water. Sometimes a single malt or a beer, although I'm more of a social drinker than an at home one.

Cookies and milk.  Or chips, which I eat with chopsticks.  I hate getting grease on the controller, and using so many napkins to clean my hands gets repetitive and wasteful.

Sprite or a dark beer (with a mug of water), Triscuits or peanut butter and apples, and usually a dog squished up on my leg.

I'm a fan of Hendrick's and tonic, occasionally with a splash of Sprite for some citrus if I don't have any limes around. I don't drink very often anymore, though.

Not false. Not every brand around, but I've tried a great many brews and it's all the same to me. Beer sucks. Japanese Beer is about the only thing I can stomach, and even then, it's only called beer so they can actually sell it to foreigners overseas. I can't even stand my beloved Australian beer (who are crap at making anything that isn't wine).

 

Champagne sucks or I don't have the tongue for it yet. I can only stomach White Wines. Spirits are about the only type of beverage I can really stand, since I don't touch wine so much and I don't like beer. I even drink girly drinks (Caramel Appletini anyone?) But I can only exist off of liquor. About the only fermented drink I'll take without pause is cider.

 

By some definitions, I'm a high-functioning alcoholic. I'll admit it, and even proud to admit it.

I just turned 21 recently, so I've never been able to have booze near myself. So I've never had one of those near a Mass Effect game before.

 

My setup is this:

 

1. Because the couch in my gameroom is too far away from the TV for me to see as well as I'd like, I always pull my computer chair halfway between the couch and the TV with a folding table sitting next to it.

 

2. I put my laptop on the table along with a strategy guide. This way I can quickly look at a map, use Gibbed Save Editor, or look at the ME Wiki in case I need it.

 

3. Sometimes I also have a Mountain Dew or a Dr. Pepper with me.

It kind of sucked having to move from one country where alcohol is legal at 17 to one where it's 18 back to 21. Still, intelligent decision it was not, I didn't let the age barrier stop me from indulging.

 

Alcohol is all you need. My advice is to start drinking very heavily.

You've me drunk post before right? I'm a lightweight; even though I have the liver of a dead guy, it doesn't take much for me to get over the hill. That said, once I'm on the hill, I can stay on all night.

 

But alas, my liver is evil and must be punished. But then again, I'm the Doctor. If it was really bad for me, I'd know.

Oddly enough it was after watching the USA vs Russia hockey match and I guess once I got home I decided it was a good idea to post on BSN.

 

Apparently, I find you guys fun. I also beat the entire Rannoch arc on one of my Shepards although I don't know if that was before or after or during.
