I received notification that one of my posts was liked by a poster. I checked all the posts I made for that thread - nothing liked by that particular poster. I checked the likes on my profile page - same. No biggy but a glitch maybe?

It just means they unliked your post. Like I just did with yours.

Thankyou for that. The question is tho' that i get notified of someone's liking a post but there is no evidence of it. Eg notified that the Cat in the Hat like a post I made in the Isolde thread, I look and no there is no likes on that post. Don't know.

You can unlike a post as long as you don't refresh or change the page. Unliking does not leave notification your way so you are notified of a like but there is no like.
