To be fair, execution or exile are the only two options that seem viable to me and yet we know that'll be impossible because advisors can't leave
There's always flogging or isolation for a certain period of time.

I don't care if anyone agrees with what Leilana did or if they like it when npcs do whatever they want. I just want the option to not be walked on in my so called rise to power. If anyone agrees with what she did and feels no need to confront her then good for them. I just want the OPTION to do differently.
Tell you what.
If, once you play the game and play that particular story, you still feel that Leliana contravened your direct order and you did not get sufficient ability to take her to task afterwards for doing so, then return and say so. I am uncertain why one would assume that wouldn't be the case.

That's fair enough.
I am sure there will be occasions in this game when NPCs do things that I feel that I have insufficient options to criticise. Limited reactions are an unavoidable part of CRPGs.
Wasn't Dorian a big disappointment for Alexius? What if he's a healer?
Just look at him. Someone with such a fancy dress and stylish moustache wouldn't surround himself with rotting corpses. It's just...urgh...

Since it needs to be repeated;
[DG]: He enjoys using his magic and doesn't see any reason why he should be ashamed about it. So he unleashes his full power when it's needed… and he has plenty of power to unleash, seeing as he comes from a society where mages are trained to use it rather than hide it. This includes powerful elemental spells, as well as spells involving the control of spirit and the dead—things societies outside of Tevinter might turn up their noses at and claim "distasteful."
@Former_Fiend
just jk

That's what perfume is for.

That's fair. I want to clear it up that I'm not really assuming that I wouldn't get the chance. From what I saw, there was no time to stop and confront her about it. That's understandable. I'm just addressing those who are against the very idea of wanting to confront her. I simply want to be able to play my pc the way I want within the confines of the game/story not the way someone says I should because the character just so happens to be a fan fave or something.

This. Once we meet up with Leliana again (if we do) I want to be able to confront her. Simply because that is the character I'm playing's personality.
You could also wait and see whether the context actually applies. How do you know you lead anything at that point? How do you know Leliana serves you at that point? Be careful of your assumptions... particularly when it comes to a plot that you're only half-seeing, and during which we removed any portions of the dialogue that were too spoilery.
Why show that point at all then? Same thing I've been saying for a while, if the game is as big as you all claim why can't show an interesting side quest with Choice and Consequence instead of a main plot quest that you have to cut dialog from that leaves a bad impression?

Because this was an almost perfect cliffhanger leaving fans craving more?

As much as people complain about the demo being too spoilery, the demo does raise more questions than it answers.
Isn't that the point?
leliana was like **** you inquisitor i do whatever i want lol.
Why would they answer it? We'll find out in game, as Gaider said. ![]()
I mean it's a perfectly reasonable question to want to know the answer to, but there's no reason it needs to be addressed by the devs.
My guess is that in some scenarios we will be able to address insubordination and in others we won't/won't be able to to the extent that some people would want. Them's the beans.
