Yeah, and I can't see any reason why a fan site would make something like this up.
Still going to be a bit cautious about leaping to conclusions though.
I imagine making something up would do one of two things, in their minds:
1. Suddenly gain a lot of publicity, traffic, and word-of-mouth (maybe for the lulz, if nothing else).
2. They think by doing this, they might force BioWare to make a statement one way or the other. A bit like how that Reddit fellow thought doing that prolonged Fallout 4 viral marketing fake website would make Bethesda say something about the next Fallout (spoiler alert: his plan didn't work).
I say this as someone who would not start bleeding out of her eyes if MP in DA:I is confirmed, BTW. Just being cautious.
