Yeah, and I can't see any reason why a fan site would make something like this up.

Still going to be a bit cautious about leaping to conclusions though.

I imagine making something up would do one of two things, in their minds:

1. Suddenly gain a lot of publicity, traffic, and word-of-mouth (maybe for the lulz, if nothing else).

2. They think by doing this, they might force BioWare to make a statement one way or the other. A bit like how that Reddit fellow thought doing that prolonged Fallout 4 viral marketing fake website would make Bethesda say something about the next Fallout (spoiler alert: his plan didn't work).

I say this as someone who would not start bleeding out of her eyes if MP in DA:I is confirmed, BTW. Just being cautious.

Well, achievements or not, I guess that's about as close to a confirmation as we're going to get at this time.

Not surprised. EA is long done with SP-only games.

Yeah, both of those are totally possible.

It's just that the fan site seems way too... earnest... to ever knowingly report something fake, or to make something up to drive traffic. If I wanted to drive attention I'd do it in English, and I'd post all over NeoGAF/Reddit/etc, not keep everything in Russian on a pretty tiny website. To me it genuinely looks like they just want to provide info to their members.

I'm not going to trust it without some better context and evidence, but I hope they wouldn't be so cynical

I agree to we should not be jumping to conclusions willy nilly, but considering how Bioware cannot give a straight answer which way or the other in regards to multiplayer I am pretty sure we have multiplayer. Also I remember when Angry Joe interviewed Cameron Lee ,and asked him about multiplayer straight up ,and cameron said he can not answer that. As the old saying goes if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck its a duck.

Oh, trust me, I have suspicions and gut instinct that MP is there.

But until someone with a little blue tag comes in here and confirms/denies or does so on Twitter, I won't take a suspected leak as true confirmation.

Yes, it's from the second dlc. The other was from DA2 as well.

If this game didn't have multiplayer, we'd have heard about it by now

And we did have Microsoft talking about the first single player dlc earlier

Though I'm pretty sceptical about this particular leak

I don't see why they need achievements either, but they all do.

I don't value the gamerscore or trophies, but I personally like achievements jut because it's kind of an album of gameplay, it's kind of cool, especially at the end of a lolconsole cycle to flip back and remember just where everything started.

That's just the appeal I find, you specifically asked why is there a need for achievements. Well, there isn't, but in the Social Media Attention ****** Millennial Age, everyone wants to show how much better they are than the next person, regardless of what kind of practical applicability that proficiency actually has. I got more likes than you because I have a funny cat picture. How's that for Resume material?! Still, that creates a commercial appeal, and services like Xboxlive, Origin, Steam and PSN like to tether people to their service in any way possible.
