hey so i just tried to pre-order inquisition through Origin.

However slight confusion the price was in euro's (not dollar's), and it was still 69.89. Thinking it must be a mistake, i went on, but when i went to pay-pal, the price was almost $94. This was for the Digital Deluxe edition, which i will link bellow. I hope that's a mistake on origins pre-order part, as all the information (plus other retailers) lists the Deluxe edition for PC at $69.00. also i just checked amazon and i cant seem to get the digital deluxe edition at all for PC.

thanks

apologize for any lexical errors dyslexia really is aggravating

I assume you are in europe? Really your best bet is to contact EA customer support, they're actually very good.

It's not a mistake. Lots of games are the same numerical price in Euros as they are in US dollars. Games simply cost more over here. I imported the SWTOR Collector's Edition from the US for that reason, because the difference was even higher.

And the Australians typically have it even worse...

I've never found the exact reason. Some sources claim it's because Europe and Australia retailers have higher operational costs (higher wages etc.) others chalk it up to publisher greed, some say it's because we have a different tax rate.

Of course the first argument doesn't work anyway when it's a digital download...

Ahh, understood now, (yea I'm in Europe). That is rather suspect and annoying, *sigh* looks like i'm gonna have to get it sent from the states, ahh well not the end of the world i suppose.

thanks for the quick responses

You only pay 25 pounds if you buy it in USD.

Butt I think we're going very off topic.

suffice to say, they dont price it equivalent to what us dollars will buy here.
