Seems like it is
I still hope it's not finished yet, I doubt they'll make just 50 achievements for the game
As for MP I think we'll play as agents helping the inquisition to strengthen its power and influence
Oh, BTW, high five for all who believed

Given it only has one mp thing yup and judging by the dragon amounts they said are in the game at this stage, probbly will be a lot more added has they keep finalizing things. Can see an achivement for each region a dragon is in.

Someone hit the wrong button, some web pages have background work going on for easily switch overs. :)

So yup you where right.

No, people are jumping to conclusions because a few of the 'leaked' achievements sound reasonable. Which is exactly what any 'faker' would do when creating achievements. So it is no-where near confirmed.

I think it is fairly likely, however, that these are legit achievements.

We won't know until the game drops, but using the facts that have been listed in this thread like ,no one from Bioware commenting on this thread what so ever, even though its a hot button topic is suspect in my books.

That's rather flawed logic. Most companies don't bother acknowledging whether leaks are real or fake for quite some time. Many don't ever comment on supposed leaks. Just because they haven't said it isn't true doesn't mean it is, any more than them not saying it is true means it is false. Before DA2 there were tons of 'leaks' many of which were fake and Bio rarely said 'this is fake'.

As I've said earlier, this seems fairly legit to me, but just because Bio hasn't commented doesn't mean it is.

We shall agree to disagree then

No it was not.

The PC Gamer article mentioned something about dealing with some issues at the Chantry in Val Royeaux, and people are assuming that one of the achievements (A Capital Occasion) is what you get for dealing with said issues.

This interesting bit of confirmation bias is occurring because people believe we are going to Val Royeaux (capital), that Capital (in the achievement) is being taken literally, and not knowing how the missions actually work. It is quite possible we just send off some agents to deal with the chantry in Val Royeaux and it's handled entirely off screen.

Is there any game company that has directly commented on any leaks? BioWare never commented on the "leaks" last year(?) that supposedly covered the entirety of the story (and was since forgotten by the vast majority of the forums).

The only time I remember BioWare commenting on anything "leak" related was when IMDB incorrectly listed the voice actor for Solas. Of course, that really wasn't a leak but an incorrect statement.

Thanks for doing the video, and for the information. I hope any Chantry business in Val Royeaux is optional.

I doubt it. In the article it was stated that this quest is not one of those miniquest like dealing with Orzammar etc when you don't go anywhere, just pick an option.
It is tied to the main plot, hence we'll personally deal with it, very likely

I am praying to the gaming gods this achievement list turns out to be false.  I really, REALLY do not want multiplayer.

Spoiler

These all seem like very possible main story milestone achievements. There's nothing in the list about the elven rebellion, or the mage-templar war, or the Orlesian civil war, so like other posters, I think this list is incomplete, but the makings of a main story achievement list, I see it.

EDIT: Leaked achievements in the spoiler tag.

I thought it was a main story quest too just looking at the achievement list. The achievements that were story related, and there are only a few of them, all looked like main quest stuff from what I can deduce.

"Now that we know it is possible, it is inevitable that we reach multiplayer."

I just made a test, Mass Effect 3 with Origin app setting language set to Russian have achievements in Russian.

I'd guess that they haven't done localization for achievements yet. If it's legit, what probably happened was that someone responsible for Russian localization screwed up and uploaded the achievements.

With how much the web is part of life it is likely, someone doing background work made a mistake and hit the wrong button.

The list is very much not finish by the looks of it, but it does seem more and more likely legit has more info about the game is coming out, though doubt that is the final draft.

I just noticed that the achievement list may very well have to do with the elven uprising, or Orlesian politics.  The one for stopping an assassin at Halamshiral could apply to either, but probably politics.  Maybe if the inquisitor stops the assassin at Halamshiral we'll gain influence with a faction, or access to more resources.  Once we see it in action it will be a lot clearer.

I think the assassin at Halamshiral is more likely Briala's agent. She wants the war to continue after all, so thwarting a peace conference is her best bet.

No, it says it is tied to the main plot, but it does not state that it is different than any of the other micro-quests from the war table.

"You complete these micro-quests entirely through the menu, and they grant modest benefits: gold, loot, resources, or adding more ‘agents’ who join the Inquisition. But some, like addressing the Chantry in Val Royeux, are tied to the main plot."

It doesn't state that it is not different from miniquests, on the contrary, it is diffirent
We'll see the truth once the game is released, but I am 60-70% certain this list is legit. Though they can rename it and ****, but it still will be obvious

That's called confirmation bias.

That's called confirmation bias.

The latest PC Gamer preview literally talks about gathering the Chantry in Val Royeaux.

They hadn't released this information before now, but it was in the leaked achievements.

You call it confirmation bias, I call it Occam's Razor. The list seems real, and any other explanation for that coincidence seems implausibly complicated.
