If corypheus is really the main villain i will be very disappointed. Very predictable.
The list doesn't actually say Cory is the big bad, it just says he is a boss.
Which makes sense, why are we fighting some Wardens? Cause they are controlled by our favorite ancient undeadish magister. I see Cory as being one of the 3 or 4 main plot arcs.
Chantry Mothers are 1 arc, Halamshiral and the civil war are plot arc #2, Wardens and Cory are plot arc #3, Mages and Templars are plot arc #4 (same # as origins, but there could be more).
Also, while Alexius dialogue 'The Elder One comes for us all!', could apply to Cory, it seems more likely to be directed at something less human than an ancient magister. He would call Cory 'Corypheus', not 'The Elder One'. So I see Cory as a puppet, or just off doin his own thing, taking advantage of the chaos, but not as the final boss of DAI.
The latest PC Gamer preview literally talks about gathering the Chantry in Val Royeaux.
They hadn't released this information before now, but it was in the leaked achievements.
You call it confirmation bias, I call it Occam's Razor. The list seems real, and any other explanation for that coincidence seems implausibly complicated.
Having not read the article as of yet all I have to go on is information from your thread about it.
"You complete these micro-quests entirely through the menu, and they grant modest benefits: gold, loot, resources, or adding more ‘agents’ who join the Inquisition. But some, like addressing the Chantry in Val Royeaux, are tied to the main plot."
Since that was the quote from the article I can only go off of that. Unless there was something else about the chantry in Val Royeaux that was not related to the war table quests.
I think the assassin at Halamshiral is more likely Briala's agent. She wants the war to continue after all, so thwarting a peace conference is her best bet.
So perhaps the protagonist will have a choice between thwarting the assassination, or letting it proceed if the main character agrees with Briala's goal.
I doubt we can let them kill Celene or Gaspard. Plot armour and stuffSo perhaps the protagonist will have a choice between thwarting the assassination, or letting it proceed if the main character agrees with Briala's goal.

If this the leak is authentic, it'd be interesting if we could choose to overlook the attempt, then potentially have that negligence held against us after Celene/Gaspard survived.
I don't see why Celene and Gaspard would have any more plot armor then Anora and Loghian.
Well, you can't take out both Anora and Alistair.
In my opinion if this information was fake Bioware would have jumped in by now and dismissed it, like they did with other fake stuff. Since they still haven't - and this is a fairly popular topic- its not fake.

The problem with that idea is that means Bioware not denying = them confirming. Thats why most Devs simply ignore leaks, and don't voice any confirmations or denials at all. Bioware hasn't really denied any previous leaks either, so this is a bit flawed logic.
Having said that I believe there is a very good chance this list is legit.

Seeing as you couldn't take out Anora at all...
Well, anyway, I think we'll probably almost have to kill either Celene or Gaspard, maybe there is a possibility we can pursue a 'both live' ending, but I'd be surprised if it isn't easier to kill one or the other rather than 'fixing' both.

I'm hoping you're wrong. Ideally, the Orlesian civil war will be optional; both choices seem pretty awful to me.
I don't think WE can kill either of them. Aid in their pursuit for power - sure. Kill? That's what the Crows are for. I guess they'll finish their business themselves but our support will be essential. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Gaspard challenged us to a duel. I kind of despise both of them, so I hope there is a chance to make a third choice. But let's be honest - if there are only two choices in MvsT conflict in DAI as stated by a dev, then it's likely there is no third option in this conflict as well
Celene would be a rogue and as such would do rogue things.
I do not recall a dev saying that there is ONLY TWO choices for the Mage/Templar conflict. I recall them sayign we could finish it early in DAI, that we could choose between mages/templars, but they did not say (and they shouldn't) that those were the only options. There could still be a third (or fourth) option for dealing with them.

In the mage templar conflict there are two sides: mage and templar. In the orlesian civil war there are 3 sides.

'Other fake stuff?'

Demons controls Adamant after the events of Asunder.

Considering this is Bhelen vs Harrowmont v2, and it was impossible to keep both alive.... I see it as incredibly likely that either we will kill them (Bhelen dies at our hand) or our actions directly lead to their deaths (Harrowmont being executed).
Just a thought here. Since this thread has become quite popular and none of the devs shot it down, or even mentioned it, it seems to me that this leak is genuine. So Val Royeaux confirmed ![]()

I'll just quote this since I don't feel like searching for my own quotes (it's even on this page):

I know you've been the voice of skepticism this entire time, but do you think the leak is genuine?
Imagine my shock of all threads this one turned into a mage vs. Templar of course when Lob or Xil show up that is what they turn any thread into.

What are you talking about? They're discussing the implications of certain achievements, should they turn out to be real, just like everyone else in this thread.

I couldn't care less either way.
Is the list believable? Yes it is. Does that make it true? No.
Unfortunately, since it appears believable people take the list and try to find "clues" about the game which leads to loads of misinformation. Which is then spread around the forums leading to numerous pointless arguments.
The moment we get any sliver of new information people jump through mental hoops to connect it with the "leak" which just furthers the previous cycle.
