Do you think it's really worth going back and playing through ME1 again? I'm really torn if it'd be worth it or not.

My xbox died a little over a week ago and it took the hard drive out with it. I'm so bummed that I'm going to miss out on how my choices in ME1 will effect ME2.

Yes. A thousand times yes. One of the big draws of ME2 is the continuation of the custom story that you carved out for your character in ME1. Without that... I'm not sure it'd be as great.

I just don't know if I have the time to get through it all before ME2 comes out.

I've been playing ME1 again with the other classes. It's one of those games that you just want to go back to, so nothing wrong in going back to play it again.
Sorry about your console...whatever caused it to break took out your HD too? How did it break?

You'd just replay ME1 and ME2 to prepare a character for ME3 anyway, so might as well.

Yes, I've watched over 15+ hours of footage, I highly HIGHLY recommend importing a save, at the very least so you can have people you want to live, live through in ME2

IGN actually gave Mass Effect 2 a negative point for being too based on the first.
So yes - definitely replay it - even if you're not done in time, the game will still be there. It'll taunt you - make you play faster

Alternatively, you could get ME2 for the PC rather than the 360 and download a save for a similar playthrough. You get to alter the look, class and name of an import so as long as they hit the same major decisions you should be set. Its what I'm doing, I played ME1 on the 360 but decided to get ME2 for the PC. I didn't want to give up on my playthroughs on the 360 so I went ahead and picked up a very similar PC save for each.
If you got the 360 version again then yes, play another round. I was almost temped even for the PC (went ahead and grabbed ME1 when it showed up on steam for $5), but I'd already completed 6 separate character runs, 10 including NG+ runs, on the 360 and I couldn't get myself going given that I was going to have to complete 2-3 runs to get to level 60 again :/

I wanted to get ME2 on the PC and played ME1 on the 360. When I found out you couldn't move saves from the xbox to PC, then I bought ME for the PC and replayed.it. Kind of glad I did as I only played it once at release and forgot a lot! Just beat it on the PC and have a level 50 player.
