Okay. So I found this quote on the Dragon Age Wiki that Teagan is supposed to say to a FemHawke in DA2: "You're very brave. Take this, with my blessings. You remind me of someone...I hold dear, though I never had the courage to say that to her."

I can only assume he's talking about the FemWarden because Isolde does not qualify as "brave" in any sense of the word. What did he give Hawke with his blessings? Does anyone know where or when in DA2 he says this? What are the pre-requisites? Does Isolde need to be alive/dead? Does Teagan need to be married to Kaitlyn, or can it only happen if he's not married? Does the Warden need to do the Ultimate Sacrifice (hopefully not)?

If anyone knows how, when, and where to get this line to trigger, that would be awesome. I'm currently playing a run-through of DAO through DA2 as preparation for Inquisition, and I'd love to get this line in DA2. I also just started the Redcliffe area, so if Isolde needs to get axed or Kaitlyn should not marry Teagan, please let me know. :)

It's cut dialogue, not able to be heard in the base game, as far as I'm aware (though I COULD be wrong and most likely that's the case). Personally, I don't associate it with FemWarden. True, he and she can flirt, but I think just because he says FemHawke reminds him of someone that doesn't automatically mean it's the Warden. Particularly when he doesn't really know the Warden that well, even as a Human Noble.

After all, not every little thing is a reference to us. If it was a reference to a female Warden, it'd be tied to the Warden's gender as well as Hawke's, wouldn't it? Yet it's only tied to the latter.

Alas, cut dialogue. The Wiki is such a tease for putting that line out there.

To me, the comment does suggest the FemWarden, as the Warden's actions in stopping the Blight and saving Redcliffe while Teagan was there (assuming the player took that route) scream brave. It's true that Teagan didn't know the Warden very well by the end of DAO, but depending on where this line would've occurred in DA2 (I'm guessing Act 2 or 3 unless it was MotA exclusive content), he could've known the Warden for several years by this point (assuming the Warden didn't do the US).

Of course, this could all be my Teagan crush talking, but I definitely believe this line is in regards to the secret feelings he harbors for the FemWarden. If the line were in regards to Isolde, that would just to be horrible to take. :)

I think this was meant for the situation where there is no Alistair cameo in DA2 because he did the US. Teagan should then have made an appearance on his own. Like you, I am certain that he is referring to femwarden.  :)

Pay her for her grandfathers sword before the zombie attack at nightfall. It should then be mentioned in the Origin's epilogue slides. I don't think there'll be anything in DA2.

There was a quest where you rescue Connor from Kirkwall's Circle. It was cut from the game. Part of the dialogue was from the quest. Its available on youtube. You can even hear a grown up Connor too.

Ah. That makes sense. I think that would've been a cool quest. Too bad they cut it. :(

I found the video on YouTube with some cut lines from Teagan and Connor. However, the video didn't have the "someone I hold dear" line that I'm looking for, and I haven't had any luck finding a video that does. Does anyone know of one with that specific line?

Dragon Age 2: Cut Connor cameo

Connor:

They're looking for us, Uncle.

Teagan:

I hoped to avoid violence, but the templars are determined to make that impossible. You're not with the templars, are you? Can you help us?

Hawke:

[I might help.] I'm not with them. What's going on?

Hawke:

[Fight the templars?] Oh, just attack the templars? You know they practically run this city, right?

Teagan:

I'm all too aware.

Hawke:

[Why should I?] I don't know you. I have no reason to help.

Teagan:

My name is Bann Teagan. And this is my nephew, Connor.

Connor:

Uncle, they're here for me. I caused enough suffering at Redcliffe. If you are harmed...

Teagan:

Loghain and Jowan are to blame, not you. I will not let these templars imprison you.

Hawke:

[Why do they want Connor?] I take it your nephew is a mage?

Connor:

There's no use keeping it a secret. Yes, I'm a mage. Years ago, I fell prey to a demon. I did... unspeakable things. The Kirkwall templars must have learned of that incident.

Teagan:

Connor is a good boy. A good man.

Hawke:

[I won't fight templars.] A fight's inevitable. I won't kill any templars for you.

Teagan:

Who could blame you? Farewell.

Hawke:

[I'll help.] What's the plan?

Teagan:

Our ship isn't far. Once we're aboard, we should be safe.

Templar:

Hand over the abomination.

Teagan:

He's not possessed, you fool. You have no right!

Templar:

The Maker will shed no tears if the boy and his uncle die. Attack!

Teagan:

We made it.

Connor:

We must get below decks, Uncle.

Teagan:

You remind me of someone... I hold dear. Though I never had the courage to say that to her. You're very brave. Take this, with my blessings.

Hmmm.. Could be Isolde or Female Warden. Would make sense if it's Isolde considering how far he's going for Connor.

Jeffonl1: Thanks so much! But now I'm even more bummed that Teagan and Connor's quest was cut. I wish there was a mod to restore it. Now, if I could only find a sound clip of Teagan saying that line. Talk about a ringtone. :)

Elite Midget: I definitely think the Female Warden. Isolde doesn't really make sense to me, as the context of the line suggests that Teagan is comparing the bravery of FemHawke to the bravery of the one he holds dear.

The only time I can think of that Isolde was brave was when... well, there was that one time she... Ah, who am I kidding? I've got nothing. :)

Isolde???? Please.  He loves his nephew.  There were flirt lines with the WARDEN. It was about the female Warden

There is a scene during MotA where you encounter Teagan at the Orleasian party that is intact.  If you take the sarcastic/charming answer on a lady Hawke, and flirted with him in Origins with a femwarden (my import was my Surana), he has a line pertaining to the warden then, and says that Hawke reminds him of someone very dear to him (I had a pic of it a long time ago lost to a computer crash and stupid Imageshack has gone to 'pay to post', so it's been lost for good).  But it WAS there and I posted it in an old thread.

He only has a line of 'remind him of a fellow countryman' or something to that effect, in its place when referring to Male Hawke as a fellow Ferelden if you are playing a Male Hawke or did Origins with a male warden.

And Isolde?  You gotta be kidding me that he would feel anything beyond polite familial concern for that screechy ******.  Look how he responds to her in Origins.  If you take the right responses, he slams into her and rightly laying the guilt for what's happened at her feet.

So a variant of the line appears in MotA? I have imported a FemWarden who flirted with Teagan and used a sarcastic FemHawke, yet I have never gotten that line in MotA.

Does it need to be done in a certain act? I usually do MotA in Act 3 and have never gotten it.

I got it on my sarcastic rogue ladyhawke, Kit.  it happens during the conversation at the party.  I believe I did it in Act 3 after Kit had met King Alistair and Teagan.  He will introduce Hawke to Isolde and I seem to recall it's the snarky response to something about Meredith? Was so surprised, I had to reload the game to hear it again.  While he doesn't out and out name the warden...it just seems very much like it's who he was talking about (as my Surana had flirted shamelessly with him).

When i took the same option on my King Cousland import with a ladyhawke warrior, he said something along the lines of her being Ferelden.  So I believe it definitely depends on if the warden flirted with him.

*Edit* just replayed that convo, and it goes something like this:

Teagan: Champion, good to see you again. You probably don't remember me but we met when King Alistair made his trip to Kirkwall.  I'm Bann Teagan Guerrin. *bows*

Hawke: (how could I forget) You think I often intervene between Meredith and heads of state?  Wait, actually, yes, that's pretty normal for me.

Teagan: You remind me a great deal of someone I once knew.

He seems amused and I liked to think it was my warden he referred to.
