So, after Thane's recruitment Shepard can say "Some women are into bad boys." Now, in my current playthrough with a male Shepard, Kelly's response was something like, "I don't know. Good guys are pretty nice too." But I know I have heard an alternate response that goes something like "That is a sexist assumption." So what causes the difference?

AFAIK it's Shepard's alignment.
More paragon hear the line about good guys being nice too, more renegade ones the: "That's a sexist sterotype. In my case it happens to be true, but still!".
Or something similar.
If i remember the one time I was consistently an ass towards Kelly correct, than this response (and some others) only become available when you are on good terms with her.
