It's about time that Bioware broke away from the typical Sci-fi/fantasy settings.

I have a love/hate relationship with horror game and while I'm genuinely excited for this, it's a HORROR GAME (or looks like it anyway).

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

 

Its one of my favorite RPGs, and its set in one of my favorite settings (Classic World of Darkness) and is overall just phenomenal. 

 

Granted, its a buggy mess, it's better patched with mods, i'd seriously suggest checking it out.  It has Horror elements, but nothing overly scary, save for one or two parts. Which, kinda sucks considering they could have made some truly horrifying parts with all the lore they had, but still, its great.

Mass Effect 3 WAS a horror game...

  

It's a documentary about people with Post Mass Effect Trauma Stress Disorder, 0:29 is how I sometimes wake up after seeing 0:28 in my dreams, who is obviously the Catalyst.

Seriously enough about the ME endings people have heard about it a million times already.

considering how creepy some parts in both Dragon Age and Mass Effect have been(banshees, rachni,  broodmothers, the friggin' bone pit in general), I have faith that, if it is a full horror IP, that bioware's gonna do a stellar job with it.

Some of the courses at the Viral Marketing School website are: teaching you how to fight ghosts. how to read minds, and biology of mythological creatures. Which is, yeah. I'm guessing the Protagonist is going to be a student here. Also guessing that the dude in the Hoodie is Blake; the guy who runs the blog about finding his friend.

I suppose it's good that they are working on something not related to Dragon Age or Mass Effect. I just wish the email subject hadn't been "You are chosen". I did think it was some clever pishing email as well due to not being able to view the website.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of Masquerade now, if it is still an RPG, which I'm just assuming it is. 

Big Survival Horror game fan so this has caught my attention, most definitely.

 

I agree and that it made me think of the masquerade is a good thing. That said they're going to have to give a lot more information to get me excited. So far we don't even know if we can choose our protagonist and I have no interest in playing a male protagonist. It's what caused me to never buy the witcher.

I doubt BioWare will ever truly channel Scarecrow, but it will be interesting if they do.

 

A BioWare horror game could actually be interesting, but I need more details dammit!!!

Also in in the "I thought it was a keep invite and then I was confused" club. Not really sure what to think of a live action teaser, but I'm all for a new bioware ip so we'll see.

 

@ the masquerade subject - I would love if it was something like that, but I kinda suspect it isn't?
