There's absolutely no reason the elves' non-human offspring wouldn't be able to hold onto their culture and beliefs.
A lack of anyone interested in preserving that culture. Humans will most likely convert to the Chantry eventually.

And?
This is a bad thing why? It's their decision.

and that's how cultures change over time, it may simply be inevitable that the Dalish are doomed to the history books
inviting in City Elves would be a bad idea, andrastia/dalish religion tensions, dalish culture/city elf culture tensions, its a tinderbox in the making
Potentially, yes. Especially with the elitism that the Dalish have toward anyone not Dalish, including their fellow elves. But if they want an elf homeland run by elves for elves, this is the way to do it. Otherwise they are just inviting themselves to be decimated down the line by humans looking to "take back the land those backstabbing elves took while humans were busy fighting to save the world". Ideally, some elf with stand up with humans and together push forward a civil rights movement to ensure equal rights for all. Of course, even then you'll deal with racism as elves push for pure unions in order to keep their species alive.
Really? How many generations before they abandon their traditions to follow the human zeitgeist (out of convenience or self-contempt). And if humans of elven ancestry through some measure of pride or obstinance manage to hang on to their culture their very likely to suffer from the same prejudice elves do. Doesn't fix anything.
If they don't want to follow the old elven traditions, nobody can stop them. That goes for elves or their non-elven descendants. A fixation on lineal purity doesn't solve that problem either.
I'm not saying elves having their own nation wouldn't help them hold onto their culture, I'm only saying that making such a country "elves only" is unnecessary to the preservation of culture.

Then that was their choice and there's nothing wrong with it. Elves could do the same.

They obviously aren't a separate species, They can interbreed with Humans.
Well, the uncharted territory south of the Dales and Ferelden (beyond the Arbor Wilds and the Korcari Wilds) seems to lead to the Thedas equivalent of the Antarctic, but I suppose the Dalish could (hypothetically) investigate the land beyond the Anderfels - the Donarks.
There are also whole other continents out there. The Qunari came from somewhere after all. It would be dangerous, sure, but so is planning a rebellion to carve land from human kingdoms. They could even use the elves who are joining the Qunari as spies to gain information about what lies beyond the ocean.

Thedosian biology classes would get confusing in a hurry.

And there's the uncomfortable fact. Elves are basically just humans with pointy ears and a tendency towards poverty.

Racial phenotypes then.

Yup.

It's like people want the setting to be hegemonic and boring. I give up. Get rid of all races and magic while you're at it. Human warriors and rogues only from now on. You hear BioWare?

Probably, but given the images of the qunari on the ancient pyramids of Par Vollen, the humans and the qunari may have originated from the same continent, and there could still be humans and qunari living there. I think the jungles of the Donarks would be a safer bet than a voyage by sea, as the region apparently hasn't been explored by humans (while the darkspawn who plaque the relatively barren Anderfels seem to keep most outsiders away from the nation).

I don't think so. The fact that elf-born humans seem to possess no elven traits strikes me as being a magical effect, somehow.

Now now we can still have Dwarves, they're cool folks who battle darkspawn and have class feuds and doesn't afraid of anything!

The developers have suggested there could be a magical reason to explain why the children of humans and elves are human.

why would there be a magical bias towards humans?

Well, they do tend to have slighter frames and delicate features... I think Feynriel had big eyes, for a human (Going by DA2 elf standards)

Tevinter curse? They sank Arlathan; extremely huge effects were clearly not beyond them.

Alistair doesn't display any.

Maybe magic can detect success?

Based on TME, there's nothing delicate about Ser Michel de Chevin.

True
Why isn't there a dislike button?
Are you saying you don't approve of the great dwarven people?!
Racist!
