No wonder nobody likes elves.
They'll have the chance to hate them all they want before being torn apart by a greater rage demon ![]()
Aw, it was nice and civil last I was in here. What happened?
. That's been my plan since day 1
And make Vivienne your bichwitch .

...Elves...

Bunch of elitest whinners those Dalish.
I'm glad I've personally destroyed two of their clans.
No and that's the thing, my Dalish will use her power and authority to gain a land for the elves, but if that's not gonna happen, then good luck with the breach.
I have to say, there isn't much incentive in asking an elven Inquisitor in help maintain the status quo of Orlais. A history of abuse, rape, murder, and purges against most of the population - I don't think so.
Didn't the devs said the demons can win ? there you go.
That's what people have pointed out in some other threads.
Besides, they'd rather get enslaved than die for a cause.
"If I don't get my way the entire world can burrrrrrrrn!"
That's a whole nother level of childishness right there.
What about in exchange for their support? That's what happened with Andraste too, she promised to free them and she did. It didn't turn out well afterwards but she kept her end of the bargain.
All Dalish combined is so much valuable source than a few barbarian humans living in a thick forest.
Sure, they can settle it after they're done helping to fix that big mess up the sky.

WAH!!! WAH!!!

I hope that getting involved in all of the political conflicts and civil wars is optional... I mean, honestly I have very little interest in Orlais and I don't want to be forced to help either Celene or Gaspard. I'd rather just remain neutral... but I guess if it's the only way to get soldiers I'll have to bite the bullet and flip a copper to decide.
What I'd like is for a wide range of potential allies so that we can avoid certain conflicts if we wish to... I don't want to automatically get the "demons win" ending just because I don't want to play the Game.

Okay, so tell me how asking my Inquisitor to put her life in the line for the interest of people who spit on the ones she love is not selfish ?

Because everyone is involved and will suffer.
So, what if your Dalish clan disagrees with you? Or the rest of the clans?
"Nope. Everyone dies. I'm the protagonist."

If they delight themselves in slavery and oppression, I can't do anything for them.

For what ? Continue to live in slavery ?
This is where I disagree with people like you, because I don't think saving Orlais is the plot of Inquisition.

Ideally, it'll be optional. I have trouble imagining that the developers wouldn't realize that some players wouldn't want to help either Celene or Gaspard, especially given the repellent aspects of their society.

Considering that the game continues after the main quest is concluded, I doubt dangerous spirits would take over Thedas if the Orlesian Empire fell. It may simply be a regional defeat.
So you'd rather every single person on Thedas die, than not get an eleven homeland?
Well if they can save themselves, they're welcome to, I won't hunt them down, but if they ask my to seve their asses, then in return they must save the asses of my people.

Wow, I guess all the things I've been saying about the Dalish are more accurate than I thought.
For the good of Thedas the clans should be purged.
Any group that self-centered doesn't deserve to exist.
This is just too great
REZPECT DA ELVS OR WE ALL DIE! is so not going to happen in the game. I guess you can just load it up play a level or two, find out you can't do that, then just stop playing
Presumably they would intentionally let the demons win, because a world that is mean to their special snowflakes doesn't deserve to live.
