I`m sure you`re working your tails off on ME4 (you better be). But I have some Ideas for multiplayer and races in singleplayer.

Multiplayer- PvP matches. that would be immense fun. larger maps. And have smarter enemys. Even in platinum matches they are somewhat dullbrained master killers

Singleplayer- One thing-two actually, more races to play, and more races.

Thanks,

I don't want more races. Only humans.

Humans rule the MEU. Especially after the demise of the Reapers. Everything else is just... less.

I'm both terrified and fascinated by the concept of Mass Effect PvP.

as long as the MP is seperate and isnt forced on me like it was in ME3 i'll be happy. I dont really understand how a wave grinding MP against AIs is fun but each to their own.

Though the PVP sounds nice, it would be almost impossible to balance if multiple races are involved...

With all the classes that were exclusive to multiplayer, I want more classes, with more powers and variations. ME3 saw the return of an in depth skill tree system. It was a lot more advanced and evolved than ME2's, without all the redundancy of ME1's leveling. It even allowed each class to be played in different ways. I could play an Engineer who is a drone lord, or I could play as a red mage combining elemental "magic" with gun fire. Also all the powers looked and behaved unique, unlike in ME1 where all powers looked the same, or ME2 where they only varied slightly upon leveling them.

In fact, ME1 is a very redundant game when it comes to its mechanics. How often did you find yourself changing your guns or your armor? Not a lot when you consider how you can quickly be drowned in loot, a lot of it which was useless except for getting the rich achievement. ME1's powers had different effects on enemies, but they all looked the same. Same goes for the guns, each class of weapon fired the same. ME3 was swimming in guns, and all of them had different ways to use them, and with the weight system you could mix and match to suit your play style. I say take ME3's gameplay, evolve it further, and actually make the game hard. ME2 had the right idea allowing our enemies to take on their own classes. You would find tech armor guards, vanguards, drone summoners... their AI just sucked. I'd love to be cornered by 3 vanguards with the threat of them biotic charging me. Kind of like how fighting the Citadel DLC boss worked. Best boss fight in the series.

As for customization, instead of limiting our color pallet, allow us to use those spectrum squares you see in photo programs. I would have loved a purple hair option for a male Shepard so I could fulfill my Buzz Lightyear role play. Add that same system to armors.

Given the response from BioWare at Comic Con, they don't seem to be particularly interested in competitive multiplayer. Cooperative multiplayer, on the other hand, is something they feel strongly about. I didn't personally care for the horde/firefight rip-off in Mass Effect 3. I only did it due to being forced to raise combat readiness. I would much rather have a true cooperative experience in the actual main game and story, much like how Ubisoft is handling coop in Assassin's Creed Unity and Far Cry 4.

Yes.

I was thinking DS3 as well.

But one should NEVER feel left out of a full SP experience by not playing MP. This should be made VERY clear to BW.

There have been multiple playable races in ME since the start.

Multiple playable species though...

As regards to multiplayer and co-op: I just hope they focus on the SP. Let some other studio worry about multiplayer extras.

Deadspace 3 was a great achievement for a cooperative experience. The only downside I would say that game had is it was really built only to play with others. The single player experience was somewhat lacking if the other protagonist was an npc who would occasionally show up. If BioWare wanted to go that approach, obviously the story and the entire experience would have to be developed with that in mind. That is much more intrusive and a lot more complicated than just going a AC Unity approach or Far Cry 4.

Which is why they should just focus on singleplayer.

Not at all. Limiting themselves and grounding their vision will only lead to stagnancy and eventually irrelevancy. Part of the reason BioWare is where they are today is because they continued to innovate and make a more ambitious game than the last. I was merely stating that Deadspace 3, although a great game, was really only built with cooperative play in mind. There are a variety of ways BioWare could tackle this without the single player experience suffering.

Again, Assassin's Creed Unity and Far Cry 4 provide cooperative options that do not impact the single player experience. Considering BioWare is also part of EA, they could easily have another studio work on a different aspect of the game. The sky's the limit, really. As long as BioWare has the proper vision and the tools to bring it to fruition, I want them to be as ambitious and as innovative as possible. It's time to see what the next generation of BioWare games will look like.

This is why they should ask a different studio to do the MP stuff for them.

Let BioWare focus on getting the voice acting perfect, the story fantastic, the species actually being different (with you know, different animations and all that) instead of being humans wearing a costume, and making a game so massive in scope it makes everyone wanna cry out of sheer extacy.

And make a glorious character creator.

They're different species. Not races. Yes, yes, I know am being pedantic. Sorry, but it irritates me.

And about that idea, I've said I don't like it already, but here's the short version why:

  • It's going to be half-assed no matter what.
  • It's going to detract from the aliens' place in the lore.
  • It's going to detract from the story by forgoing to be human-centric and character-focused.
  • It's going to take a lot of time and resources to do even a moderately decent job, time and resources that would be better spent elsewhere.
  • There's no point to it.

As for ideas, I would first and foremost suggest NME abandons the Paragon/Renegade meter.

I like the idea of getting rid of the meter. Hold on, i have to say something stupid because I have not said enough good things before.

I can see the Paragon/Renegade and/or the meterizing or morality to go away or change into something else.

But I think the color coding, to some extent and usage, will stay.
