Espionage

This time I'm for the espionage route, not to learn anyone's dirty laundry per se, but as a shortcut to discover which armed force we should be treating with. Once we discover who we need to talk to, then it's time for more diplomacy unless the force is hostile and then it's time for war.

War. I have an ally and that's all I need to know right now. I would strike at the Templars ASAP before they have a chance to recover.

Espionage on everyone, though this likely isn't the best plan. But for my second plan, mayhem for everyone. Just think about the mayhem.

War to the Templars, DIplomacy for the Mages and Venatori. Espionage for Orlais.

There are no Venatori at this point.  We're in Ferelden.  Right now we're dealing with Red Templars, Circle Mages, Ash Warriors, and one of the Orlesian factions.

Okay, so it seems most people favor spying for the Orlais plot.  After some work Leliana sends you an encoded letter written as a song.  The note from the Ash Warriors was sent by  Morrigan who has been working with Empress Celene as of late.  The Ash Warriors were indeed used to aid the Inquisition in providing a stronghold against the demonic threat, but with, of course, strings attached.  Morrigan convinced the Empress to aid you, but in exchange you must provide some form of help for the war in the Dales.

D: Send Josephine to King Alistair and Queen Anora with an idea of a favorable alliance with the Empress.

E: Send Leliana to the Dales to steal a shipment of much needed supplies to Gaspard's army.

Mostly Ignore: Thank Celene for the aid, but make it clear that you do not have any way of aiding her at this time.

W: Send Cullen with a regiment to bolster her forces in the Dales.

You left out The Templar Order and the Seekers that disavowed its accord with the Chantry but did not become Red Templars.

And the Japanese were left out of the Mexican American War.

Since it's a Bioware game there will be 95% of combat and 5% for other options(some old Bio games had less combat admittedly).

Ignore. I have no interest in Aiding Morrigan or Celene in any way, I'll still take the help of course. I just won't give them a thing for it.

I'm sure I can have someone pretty that up for Celene's delecate Orlesian ears before I send it.

My canon Mage Inquisitor is going to be the most friendly diplomatic guy Thedas has ever seen.

(The group finds a Troll eating a sheep in the middle of a farm)

Varric: What should we do?

Iron Bull: We could take it by surprise and kill it with little trouble.

Inquisitor: I have a different idea...

Iron Bull: What is it?

Inquisitor: I'm going to go talk to it of course.

Varric: What?!

*Inquisitor happily walks towards the Troll waving his hand*

Inquisitor: Good morning! I see you're eating a sheep. I love the taste of mutton too... course I normally slow roast it but I've heard raw is a good way to go.

*The Troll slowly walks towards the Inquisitor the remains of the sheep in one hand and a club in the other. The Inquisitor reaches into his pocket pulling out a bottle and sprinkling the sheep with it.

Inquisitor: That should help.

*Troll eats the treated meat and smiles, the inquisitor turns towards the group and waves*

Inquisitor: It's ok everyone he's friendly!

:)

Your Inquisition now has a troll guarding its main base of operations.

I will be doing the same thing with my (whatever class I can finally decide on) Inquisitor.

Anything that can be reasoned with I am going to try and recruit into my Inquisition, be they Trolls, Giants, Werewolves, Golems, Dragons, Mabari, Awakened Darkspawn, Sylvans, etc.

Diplomatic. Makes the most sense. Assuming Josephine did her job right, it wouldn't cost the inquisition a thing and Celene would get aid.

Now it's time to find out how good my diplomat is ... Send Josephine to Alistair and Anora with the idea of an alliance. If she's any good at what she does, she can make the offer with another between the lines. If Anora and/or Alistair are any good at reading between the lines, they will know that I am in no way serious about them taking the alliance up unless they are really gung-ho about it.

Thus, the agreement is satisfied.

Diplomacy first , Josephine can negotiate between what the Empress wants and what we want to give . If we don`t get a good deal then ignore .
