I preordered Destiny for PS4 and I've been rocking out on the beta lately! Really good, i'd recommend it to anyone. But anyways, I was surprised when I noticed that one voices that gives you mission briefings sounds exactly like the voice of Admiral Shala'Raan. No clue if she'll actually play a major role in the game or not though

first time I saw her was in the Exorcism of Emily Rose. she plays the possession expert. creepy voice but seems like a genuinely warm lady.

I'm watching season four of "24" right now, and four episodes in, she has what appears to be a prominent role... Bauer hasn't shot her yet, anyway.

Claudia Black became big on Farscape back in the late 90's. She's done a lot of appearances in other things:

 

She was in Pitch Black, she is the voice of Morrigan, and she voices Chloe from Uncharted.

I know. Given the structure of the show -- the whole season is one day in the life of Bauer -- some things seem kinda hokey, like, "you have to do something before this starts a panic!" ...but it's only been 3 hours. Makes me laugh, but I still like the show.

Could've sworn I heard Courtney Taylor giving out mission orders too, but haven't been able to verify it yet. Someone needs to start a thread, "Mass Effect things you found in Destiny" - like the arena being called the Crucible, Justicar armor parts, Rune of the 'Adept' Emblem, etc.

 

The first time I got into the Beta with a friend, I'd created a Awoken Femlock (the 'Blue' girls of Destiny) and she'd made a Human Femlock w/ Red Hair, we looked at each other and said, "FemShep and Liara, together again." lol completely on accident/subconsciously.

I noticed it too! I think I found the npc In the Tower as well. She's up some stairs near the ship yard. I think the npc's name is "Lakshmi" or something similar.

I think I might make my character look like my commander shepard on destiny. That way I cab have my headcanon be that shepard wound up in a parallel universe after the events of mass effect 3.

Destiny as a post-Crucible alternate universe? I love it, haha. Instead of the R/G/B ending, what really happened is it fired and created an alternate universe where the humans, asari, and geth survived (the three playable characters) and the Fallen are mutated Cerberus, and the Hive are the Reapers.
