What do you guys think is the likelihood they'll do something for PAX Prime?

They're doing a Bioware Base there, so... chances are fairly good.

There's also a big announcement coming some time in August, and that will most likely be before PAX Prime.

(Unless they announce it right at the end of August, I guess.)

I do wonder why people are so bothered by what the Inquisitor will be called. People should take some lessons from Tywin Lannister and not bother with other people's opinions of themselves.

Of course people jump to such conclusion. I bet if the Inquisitor was called the "Hero of Thedas" people would go "OMG I don't want to be a hero!! WTF!? I FIGHT FOR INQUISITION AND FERELDEN NOT THEDAS!" People are dumb that way.

Also people should definitely listen to Tywin! "A lion doesn't concern with the opinions of sheep" :D

They have no panels, according to the PAX website. The show map isn't up yet so can't say precisely they have a booth either. However, I'd be stunned if EA doesn't have a massive share of the floor at one of the largest American cons.

And I believe Aidan Scanlan has noted on twitter recently that he'll be in Seattle. Given that he's in Koln with the public demo team, I'm hopeful they bring the demo to PAX. My wife is already planning to explore the con while I stand in line for hours :-)

Somehow people think being called something automatically means you are a supporter of it. But really, people who get worked over what other people think of them have no reason to be fit to rule or run an organization like the Inquisition.

I think some people refuse to accept the possibility that they might have a title without getting to decide what that is.

Which is pretty silly. People attract titles and nicknames that they can't control all the time - Hawke was the Champion, the Warden is the Hero of Ferelden, and in other media there's stuff like the Kingslayer or Mother of Dragons.

Tell that to the poor developers that are being chained to their workstations and getting motivated with lashes and doped coffee.

I really wonder what the big announcement will be. It's probably not the last two romances, as they usually don't make a big deal about announcing them publicly. We know that Hawke is back, so that's another thing that could be a huge announcement (the Warden is still a mystery). What could it be? The Dragon Age Keep going into public Beta early? Surprise Multiplayer?

Everyone's tossing guesses. I hope the majority isn't let down by whatever it is.

Heck I hated being called "Warden" . Let's see I've got that jerk Duncan and the loser Allistar...no I don't want to associate with these tools.

That might be true, but you don't really get to choose what other people call you. Warden is your title, rank and job description, and other people in the game world have to find some way to identify the player character.

In Inquisition's case, I think it's a really interesting plot point that some religious characters literally see the Inquisitor as a herald of Andraste. You don't have to believe what people call you, and I'm sure there'll be an option to express doubt about their views.

(A big theme of the game is faith, after all, and discovering the truth about the Inquisitor might shake the faith of many major religions, if things like the elven gods are also involved.)

But seriously, this kinda proves that if YOU try to nickname yourself, it almost never sticks. Which sucks. One misstep and you get named "Fruit Loops" for life.

I got "Smiles" in primary school. I'm at University now, it still hasn't worn off. Could be much, much worse.

I emigrated to America in order to lose my nickname.

Nicknames?  Jackal.  Or Karlos.  Or both combined as appropriate.  Because of the similarity to my first name.

the issue is: You meet Andrastre, as a super powered angel type thing.  This completly invalidates the Elven pantheon, the old gods, the Avvar faiths as it proves the maker is the one true god.
