I just woke up and sorta glad I didn't wake up early. No new info on Dragon Age.

Caught up with the news and I am a bit annoyed that the next Tomb Raider will be Xbox exclusive.

I personally think the Tomb Raider exclusive is a terrible idea. The TR series has had a PC fanbase since, oh I don't know, THE VERY FIRST GAME?? Heh, bad move I think. That won't make most PC gamers get an Xbox One. They'll just lose sales until the inevitable 're-mastered' version that will come out on PC a year or so later.

 

Oh, by the way, is that stream already available to re-watch? Just wondering if it's going to be the same tomorrow for the EA conference.

Rise of the TR exclusive to the Xbone? i thought TR:Underworld having a storyline DLC made exclusive to the Xbox360 was s**tty, but this is way worse

Square Enix: Gentlemen, the first game could not meet out unreasonable expectations of 6 million sold copies, and the lack of Lighting or anything Final Fantasy in it is also quite disconcerting, let us solve this issue by selling the sequel out as a exclusive Boner title. That'll definitely do wonders.

I'd be surprised if DAI was at Sony's conference, given how they have been doing all of the platform-specific advertising with Microsoft. I'll be watching anyway, but being an Xbox owner, I'm only there for the multi-platform games. Not sure if there will be anything there that interests me.

I've nenver understood platform-exclusive titles, particuarly ones that aren't availible on PC. Is the amount of money Microsoft are willing to pay to make it an exclusive really larger than the sales they would get if they sold it on multiple platforms? For that matter is having it be an exclusive going to result in microsoft getting more money than the massive amount they must be paying to have it be an exclusive?

 

I just can't see how the numbers could work.
