Wow, so it turns out there is more to Gamescom than just Dragon Age. Who knew?

 

So what's the latest? Any big news we should know?

Yep, I called Shadow Realms being multiplayer. Interest dead. Happy for those who are into it of course, but yeah. Not for me.

 

Of course, this means the KOTOR/Mass Effect team remnant's project probably isn't multiplayer, so I'm satisfied.

 

Actually at E3 Casey was mentioning emergent narratives created with friends, or something like that.

None thus far, really. Shadow Realms ("You've been chosen" thing) is a multiplayer PvP-only 4v1 game, intended to be story-based... somehow. It seems odd, but eh, we'll see.

I'd eat my shoe if Bioware got all the possible voice sets for the Warden to record lines (and I think one of those voice actors has passed away if I remember correctly) so I'd get cozy with the idea that if they're in the game and voiced, they aren't going to sound like "your" Warden.

 

I can deal with The Warden having a voice, as long as I get to recreate my character. I'm just glad that the Warden is making an appearance at all. I would have guessed we'll never see them in-game, so kudos to BW for that.

True, but I think that the location the fight is going on at and the timing due to the events going on would be poor for such a duel.

So yeah, someone contacted the Dragon Age Keep folks on twitter just now and was told there won't be character customization inside it. So... if it exists beyond cursory Warden Origins/genders and whatnot, it'll be in-game. If it exists. Hm.
