I know one way it can trigger is by getting stuck in a Collector's web with DM on then shooting your way out. After you get free you are allowed to side hop unless you turn DM off then on again.

Wow, that's... Pretty epic if it works reliably. Do you retain your immunity to stagger if you do that? Cause total stagger immunity + dodge is... Erm, how can I say... XD

As far as I remember yeah, you keep all the benefits of DM but loose the penalty (at least the no hop part, the movement speed is harder to test). I haven't done it in quite a while though since i don't play a lot of Collectors anymore since, ya know lolpeestree...

Wow. Let's hope this is not a PS3 exclusive like the freeze

Will test it and report back in some time ;)

Yep. Probably the easiest way to glitch it. The ladder thing is interesting, I may mess with that some.

Lolecksbawks is the same Deerber.

I spent ten minutes last night trying the weapon switch/side dodge trick, but my Destroyer stayed disappointingly immobile.

Wait... I am seeing myself executing a roll with the Destroyer... But maybe it was with DM off ? It was months ago so I'm no longer sure...

This trick definitively works with quarians and geth (100% sure on this one).

Just tested : it works with DM off, but not with DM on. My bad.

Glitches are obviously most important thing when it comes to class abilities :P

Anyways, I wanted to ask about Hawk launcher. I can see many people using it in their builds, going mostly with Hydra variations. Wanted to ask the idea behind that. I take it it's good to put stuff like phantoms on defensive, especially in case when Hawk locks on something else, but aside from that, is it enough to apply 260/310N (does Hydra evolution indeed increases force?) to stagger anything? Can Hydra rockets hit the same target if there are no other targets around? If answer to those is yes, then is there any use for Cobra evolution?

Also, what is your experience with leveling passives on him? I was kinda surprised to see Battlesuit-less build on the first page ITT, for example (although I can understand it, I think).

I understand it's pretty much a bunch of stupid questions I can answer myself in like 2 minutes of playtesting, but maybe you guys don't mind sharing your ideas here. Thanks in advance :)

Edit: Oh, while we are at it, how accurate numbers given by Kalence builder are?

The Hydra missiles are good for staggerring mooks and they put a Phantom in defensive mode so they go into cover or into evasive manouvres . Lots of ways to spec him . I put the Lancer and Executioner on him recently and I was getting 122 rounds on the AR and 2 on the Executioner with this build - (He is also good with the Typhoon)

His passives don't make a substantial difference so some players just skip .

Constant fire + Hydra and grenade  stagger . I usually use the grenades to clear spawns and to stagger and finish off bosses .

To gain something you have to loose something... like medigel.

That being said, dodge is for scrubs. Destroyer is my third favorite kit and I love him without dodge. Shoot the problem, not evade it.

An extra 17.5% damage from his passives isn't insignificant, especially when the trade off is losing 400 shields by going no fitness. Also, why Lancer? He doesn't care about weight, and there are others (PPR, Typhoon, Harrier since you'll be hitting the boxes for grenades) that do way more damage without as much recoil.

Destroyer is useless, sure you get increased damage and ROF, but bruva, no mobility. Human adept or sentinel is best class in the game if in the hands of a right player and team (you have to be really REALLy good though)

Except you don't have to spec into DM or you can toggle it off when you need mobility. It's not like it competes with a helluvalot of powers for CD on the kit, if you're not a complete moron you can hit one button and.............MOTHER ****** surprise instant mobility.

The thing I don't like about the Ex-Wife is the screenshake at launch.  Makes using "precision" guns like the Executioner twice as annoying.

The Hydra staggers about half the enemies in the game (on platinum). It will not stagger pyros/dragoons and up. It will stagger anything weaker than those though. However, the stagger is less important than forcing the enemies to dodge, and any enemy who has a dodge will try to use it when hawk missiles are shot at them. Dodging puts them out of action for at least as long as staggering and is just as easy to take advantage of. Also, as you say it puts phantoms into their defensive bubble (or they dodge) regardless they aren't shooting palm lasers of dooms during it. All 3 rockets will home in on one target it there is only one target available. As the the purpose of cobra evo, I certainly don't see one.

I've never skipped his passives. I skip nades if using an infinite ammo weapon (so I never need to visit ammo boxes) or sometimes guns that benefit from sustained fire (like Typhoon). If these are not the case I skip HML and max nades. I'm sure he could still do fine without passives/ with partial passives, but I havn't ever really wanted to try it.

AFAIK Kalence is quite accurate. I've never double checked their figures but I've also never heard anyone saying something from there was wrong.

Eh, yep they are. But I wouldn't call dodge a make or break. Been playing OG since unlocked 'em, never understood wining about "no doge" (but the buff of fitness and passives was sweet). I am to lazy to dodge after all. Why doge phantom, when you have the best chance to decapitate her right away when she is so close? Only off-host banshees might be a problem when you overestimate your damage capabilities and go full reckless mode.

Typhoon. PPR is the only other AR I use on him personally. Harrier plus DM just equals empty clip too often especially if you get a map like Condor or Dagger Hazard.

Typhoon, Harrier has a too low ammo capacity for this kit. But PPR first.
