Easily Typhoon....what's not to like about raining a storm of bullets on an enemies head?

Tried the PPR (at your suggestions) along with the Harrier, and Typhoon.  Personally, I think I definitely prefer the Typhoon on this guy.  Went with Barrage Upgrade for stability and extra ammo, Thermal clip and Hi-velocity barrel weapon mods, AP and Incendiary ammo and was burning thru banshees on gold with 1 clip (and hawk missile help).  Plus shooting up the place like Rambo is fun!

I have been playing this guy more the last few days and have been using the typhoon.  Has worked pretty well.  I sure like his stomp.

Tried it.  The Spitfire was a lot of fun!  The scope helps with the stability and accuracy tremendously.  You need to be careful about scoping in for long periods because you loose situational awareness of other mooks around you.  I still like the Typhoon best on this guy but recommend the Spitfire as a very viable alternative.

Yeah, and I love the Typhoon on the Destroyer myself (with Piranha as sidearm), but sometimes one wants to know what could be different, and sometimes a different weapon opens up a slightly different feel to the game, right?

Sure, I wasn't saying you should only use the Brophoon on him. But arguing that other guns fit him better is pointless, in my opinion.

I tried the Typhoon once on him and I hated it. I did far better with the PPR, but that was a while ago. Might try the Typhoon again, but I really don't like that gun.

Typhoon is the best gun for the Destroyer though I have been using the PPR quite a bit recently.  The PPR is a lot more effective after I figured out how to bypass the cool-down animation.

I just don't like the gun. Even tried it on the TGI a while back and I wasn't impressed, but it's at X now so maybe it's better.

Venom just as an anti-phantom weapon because I don't care about weight. Might try it again though.

Yeah the Typhoon just feels right on the Destroyer to me, although I love the PPR too. I always bring along a Venom but find that I never switch to it because the Typhoon can rip everything to shreds...

The build looks alright, although skipping MFG was punishable by death in the empire. But it doesn't change the Typhoon one bit, so XD

 

I do prefer RoF against mag size on rank 5 DM for the Typhoon, but that's not a make it or break it, although it's a substantial bonus.

 

I guess the only thing that's left is never let the trigger go unless you can see no target around whatsoever...

I just tried it with RoF as you suggested, and it definitely went better than last time I tried. Both the Typhoon and PPR melt bosses exceptionally fast on the Destroyer, but I still prefer the PPR because I don't have to run for ammo. Really, I should just run frags on the Typhoon build because I have to hit the ammo boxes anyway.

 

Personal preference, I guess. I don't think you'll ever convince me the Typhoon is better on him

I like the Venom+MFGs on the infantry waves. Just can get around quicker without DM and kill just as fast. Once the heavies hit I throw the PPR or Typhoon on there and melt ****.

I am definitely going to try out that Geth spitfire idea on my Destroyer.  Although, he does very well with the Typhoon, I have seen Deerber absolutely destroy everything with his typhoon and Multifrag Grenades.  (Gave me Epeen envy.)

 

A little sidenote, I find that the N7 destroyer is quite disgusting and destructive with a Pirahna.  Especially against the Cerberus.

I agree, I enjoyed the experience on my Geth Trooper as well, I like it on my Juggernaut too. But of course this topic is about the N7 Destroyer.

Destroyer with the Piranha and/or Typhoon use to be the **** back in the days, before both those guns and Destroyer got nerfed. Almost 2 years after those heavy nerfs, and Typhoon/Piranha is still the loadout I prefer on him, and I think arguably among the best, if not the best. That should give an idea of how ludicrous those guns were on him before...
