It could just as easily be the VGAs, which are a month afterwards.

Honestly I hope they skip the VGA's (if it's even a thing this year)  it just feels like it's run by one or two people that actually care about the industry and everything else just feels forced, plus that last one was so scaled back (and had poor choice in co-presenter) some publishers/developers may just skip it entirely.

 

Don't like being negative but honestly if you watch each years VGA's back to back it's like a slow motion train wreck showing off a considerable amount if immaturity (and considering one year they had two guys sitting on an ice block with no pants on then flash the audience..... ya best to avoid that).

Seeing as how N7 day is supposed to celebrate all things Mass effect related it would probably be the best moment to announce it.

 

The VGAs have a much bigger audience though. It's where they showed off ME3 for the first time four years ago.

 

And N7 day is about ten days before DAI comes out.

I think they can afford to announce the game 10 days before DAI is released since 10 days isn't a long time compared to months or years. While VGA's may have a larger audience, a reveal on N7 day would generate more hype for the announcement since VGA's generally have a negative reception (last year's VGA only made it worse).

Generally December. 

 

But if ME Next doesn't get anything at Gamescom or PAX Prime, the VGAs are the next biggest event this year.

(After last year's craziness I did hear an interview with Keighley where he said Viacom might even cancel it entirely if they still can't find a format and tone that people actually like.)

Eh, I think it'd be cool if we get the announcement and maybe more on N7 Day, with more information (and more mainstream-ish coverage) on VGX. All of this leading into a 2015 where Bioware is more open about what's coming.
