Oh you smug little.... uh devil guy i suppose?!  ^_^

Lord Darkness, actually (see the movie Legend).  And I stole the idea of the peeps running to the new shiny from Dreamgazer.  Its a convo he and I had - and he's right; people will flock to ME:Next no matter how badly Bioware ruined the endings of ME3.

I will pre order it even if the PC is a Krogan Drag Queen.

I love how there's a Dev Promises section.

Maybe the wording isn't the best, but it's essentially second-tier features. Certainly less than solid, vague information that is subject to change, but still from a valid BioWare source.

The "Known Features-Dev Promises-Rumors" system originates from the ME3 Known Features threads, and it worked pretty well back then. Main difference in how we are implementing the system this time around is that we are trying to simplify it; sub-categorizing relevant information, and less gimmicky interactive buttons.

Also, I think our old Change Log format wasn't as usable as this one.

PAX South started a while ago, however Bioware's schedule suggests that they'll only talk about DAI.

However, I will not blindly run and get the shiny.  Once burned twice shy.

I'm glad you saw my statement, BTW.  What, you act like I don't pay attention or something....  We see proof right here in this thread about the shiny.

;)  Enjoy it.

Not running blindly after the shiny is a smart move nowadays. And it's not limited to Bioware or gaming in general.

I'm not going to preorder the game, despite my strong feelings that it will be a GoTY. I'll wait for about 1-2 months after release to get it based on user reviews and gameplay videos. Still not perfect, but at least you make the decision not based on advertisements and promises.

Heresy! I think we'll get something for ME4 around E3, unless they declared an earlier reveal that I may have missed somewhere.

Bioware did said they've seen this character creation many times and do want to implement something similar to it.

It looks like they did it with DAI.

Do these characters speak and appear in cutscenes?

Similar? Yeah, they did, though they obviously made concessions for dual console/PC ergonomics and the difference in interactivity between the two games.

DA:I's character creator, while not great, was mostly good. The only real flaw was terrible hair & beard options. But all the facial customization was good and the best we've seen in a Bioware game so far.

As for body customization...that is never going to happen. Nor should it.

SWTOR already has body customization.

TOR is also a multi-multi-MULTI-million dollar game. Something that ME4 is (likely) not.

I'd be willing to bet that Dragon's Dogma and Saints Row 3/4 had comparable budgets to ME2 and ME3, probably lower, and they both had fairly robust body/build customization options.

I know nothing about DD, but I DO know that SR4 also looks worse than ME1, the world is very small (though it's open which makes comparison difficult), and there isn't nearly as much dialog as a BW game.

My comment about TOR was only meant to illustrate that the two aren't comparable (I may have given the wrong impression with my comment). Same here, I'd say--Bioware is focusing on different things than making the CC perfect while the character looks worse, or other such tradeoffs.
